Our beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 80.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and June Zapolski, her brother,Robert Irving, and her daughter, Tammy.
Carol was born on September 24,1945 in Two Harbors MN. She graduated from Two Harbors High School, class of 1964. Carol met her husband Dick in Aurora MN in 1962. They later married on February 3, 1968 and went on to raise 3 daughters & a son. Carol spent her life dedicated to her family & friends as a loving mother and confidant. Carol enjoyed time spent at the cabin & along the north shore of Lake Superior. She had a passion for crafts, gardening, floral arrangements and many other creative hobbies. Over the years she held a special place in her heart for her dogs and treated them like family. She was selfless and touched many lives with her wisdom, witty sense of humor, and unconditional love.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard B. Baxter; daughters, Kathleen AlQabalani (Sam), Julie Baxter; son, Richard J Baxter; granddaughters, Noor and Nadeen AlQabalani; brother, Jim Zapolski as well as many other cherished family and friends.
Carol made a lasting impact on countless lives through her kindness, compassion and generous spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
