Dale Michael Schmidt, born on July 2, 1950, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. At the age of 75, Dale was called home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and devotion.
Dale was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sandy, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around laughter, faith, and family. He was a proud and loving father to Katie (Ryan) and Mike (Justine), and a cherished grandfather to Kinsley, Ryker, Jameson, and Everly—each one holding a special place in his heart.
A true outdoorsman, Dale found peace and joy in God’s creation. Whether hunting in the woods or casting a line on a quiet lake, he felt most alive
under the open sky. A skilled handyman, Dale built the family’s home with his own hands—a place filled with love, where he and Sandy raised their children and created a lifetime of memories.
Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne; his father, Michael; and his brother, John. He is survived by his loving sister, Sandy, and will be deeply missed by extended family and lifelong friends.
Dale’s warmth, steady presence, and gentle wisdom touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a man of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for his family.
In his memory, the family invites you to spend time in the great outdoors—fishing, hiking, hunting, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature—as Dale so often did.
He is now at peace, reunited with the Lord he loved and served. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him in return.
