W. Richard (Dick) Heinrich, born March 26,1946 in St. Paul, MN, passed away at the age of 79 on August 20, 2025 in Inver Grove Heights.
Dick spent his life in Minnesota, attending elementary school at Garfield Elementary and Humboldt High School for junior and senior high. He worked as a trucking dispatcher for many years but found his passion after retiring, working 17 years in the security department of the Minnesota Zoo. He enjoyed serving his community and spent many years with the Inver Grove Fire Department as well as working in the police reserves in Inver Grove Heights and South St. Paul.
But perhaps his greatest source of pride was his 58 year marriage to wife, Diane Heinrich. He is survived by his wife Diane Heinrich, two daughters Lisa Heinrich and Lynn Heinrich, and grandchildren Ryan Tessman and Jack Tessman. Extended family includes two sisters, Elizabeth Marschall (Ray) and Corinne Brengman (Bill) and their families. Family also includes four sisters-in-law: Barbara Stone (Dan), Cheryl Pawlenty (Gary), Annette Gross (Andy), Elaine Weber and their families. Preceded in death by brother-in-law George Weber (Sue).
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 26th, at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave., Inver Grove Hts. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Riverview Cemetery, St. Paul.
