Age 89 of Inver Grove Heights, formerly of Blackduck and Minneapolis, MN.
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter on July 27, 2026.
Preceded in death by son, Russ; mother, Leota Palmiero; brothers, Ray, Bill and Allen Crawford.
Survived by loving wife of 66 years, Sharon; daughter, Renee (Mike) Extrand; sisters, Ann (Phil Flick) Oldenborg and Dar Durkee; daughter-in-law, Carrie Oldenborg; grandchildren, Jessie (Jake) Johnson and Jeff Oldenborg; great granddaughter, Juliette; also other family and friends.
Ed retired as a superintendent of the scheduling department after 33 years with Metro Transit.
Ed and Sharon enjoyed entertaining family and friends at their lake home on South Twin in Northern Minnesota. Ed loved hunting, fishing and birdwatching. He truly enjoyed any time spent outdoors. He was a devoted fan of the MN Wild, Vikings and Twins. We are eternally grateful for her care and compassion, Ed’s hospice nurse, Cristi.
Memorial Service 11:00 am Monday, August 10th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service. A luncheon will follow. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
