Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 29, 2022.  Preceded in death by parents, Martha & Carl; brothers, Norman & Eugene.  Survived by wife, Pat; daughters, Alisa (Bob) Denzer, Carmela (Mike) Garlow & Monica (Kevin) Darrow; grandchildren, Nicole (Kenny) Chirhart, Rick (CeCe) Denzer, Kayla (Nick) Ruddle, Kaden Darrow & Charlie Darrow; great-grandchildren, Kallie & Rhett Chirhart; also many other family & friends.  A man of many talents who was immensely loved. Dick grew up in Duluth and graduated from Denfield High School. He met his wife Pat when he was 16 and also joined the National Guard. After high school, he trained in CA and CO. Studied at Dunwoody for two years, then worked 30 years at Honeywell as an electronic technician and 10 years at West Publishing. Dick and Pat were married on July 18, 1964, in Duluth. They then moved to South St. Paul and raised their daughters and resided in the same home for 58 years.

Dick loved fishing in Canada and Lake Michigan; going to Vegas; building a telescope and motor to take moon pictures and develop them at home – had a passion for astronomy; painting and repairing cars; cooking; and he was Mr. Fix It – everyone went to him for his knowledge.

Dick has been suffering from cancer and several medical issues over the last 18 years. We are grateful he is at peace with loved ones in heaven and thankful for all the prayers and support from family and friends.
