Age 87 of Inver Grove Heights
Passed away peacefully, at home, on February 14, 2026. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Jane; brothers, Art and Carson; sister, Evelina. Survived by loving husband of 65 years, Ade; sons, Paul (Wendy) & Ron (Sue); daughter, Suzanne; grandchildren, Veronica (Joe), James, Jessica (Ryan), Brittany (Kyle), Kyle & Therese; great-grandchildren, Wheeler, Norah, Arlo, Evelyn, Ford & Everett; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jane love to sing in the church choir, bowl, golf, travel, and the occasional casino trip. She loved music and always wanted to play the piano better, instead became a dedicated member of the Salem Lutheran Church Bell Choir. Jane graduated from Metro State University in 1989 with a degree in Business and Accounting. She retired as an accountant from the Ramsey County Human Services department in 1996. Jane’s fierce beliefs in justice, politics and empowering herself to achieve goals no matter the challenge are unforgettable traits. She was a strong female role model for hard work and perseverance all her life. Jane never missed a photo opportunity, which her children learned to appreciate.
The Degler family would like to thank Visiting Angels staff, HealthPartners Hospice staff, and the many different HealthPartners doctors and nurses that supported her health journey. She had amazing care.
Visitation 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, February 20th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Funeral Service 11:00 am Saturday, February 21st, at Salem Lutheran Church, 11 Bernard St. W., West St. Paul with visitation 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Private interment. Memorials preferred to Salem Lutheran Church.
