Age 66 of Oakdale, formerly of Westside of St Paul.
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 31st, 2023.
Preceded in death by father David Zapata, mother Caroline Contreras, step father Tito Ortiz, sister Delores Zapata, father in law Jerry Lucey and sister in law Lori Stafki.
Survived by beloved husband Jim Lucey, children Matthew Lucey (Logan), Jessica (Jesse) Bosquez, Patrick Collins Jr, Angela Collins, grandchildren Patrick III and Jordan Collins, siblings Albert Zapata (Marge), David (Jeannie) Zapata, Kathy Dahlen (Michael), Janet (Jeff) Fischbach, mother in law Pat Lucey, in laws Mike (Kaye) Lucey, Kathy (Steve) Drobac, Tim Stafki, Tom (Mary) Lucey, and many, many extended family members and friends
Cindy was a Humboldt graduate of 1975. She enjoyed boating, traveling, quilting, her faith, spending time in many ways with friends and family. She was a long time member of the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She has touched and inspired many lives and one of her greatest joys was helping and caring for others.
She always remained positive, strong and brave while she battled cancer and leukemia. We want to thank all the many doctors and nurses that helped her along the way.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 am, Tuesday, September. 5th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 401 Concord St., St. Paul. Visitation 10-11 am prior to Mass at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Hts. Luncheon to follow after precession service.
