Above all else, Charlie loved his family and his faith. He most enjoyed visits, laughter, reading and scratch-offs. He was a proud Korean War veteran, and an avid history buff. He collected coins and caps.   Charlie loved fishing and sports, especially hockey and baseball. Back in the day, he was a proud gardener of tomatoes every summer and loved sharing them. Charlie had a wonderful sense of humor and could laugh heartily at himself, especially when challenged. He would still even share an occasional beer with special visitors. He was a hard-working man (until retirement), with an incomparable work ethic. His gruff exterior and teasing personality gave him the nick-name “Chuckles” by many. His soft interior, however, was as soft as hearts come. Charlie could shed a tear reading a card, singing a hymn or watching a TV commercial. He will lovingly be remembered for his welcoming nature, warm embrace and his beautiful soul.  We will forever love and honor him.
