Nelson, Charles J., Jr.
Charlie was born to Charles and Elizabeth Nelson on October 4, 1922, in South Bend, MN. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1942 and became a Naval aviator in the Marine Corp in 1943. He married Shirley Ann Swensen in 1948, and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1950. Charlie was employed by Thompson Lands and Federal Land Bank in Windom, and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service at the USDA in St. Paul. Charlie served as a Boy Scout Master, a Sunday School teacher at the Methodist Church and on the hospital board in Windom. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, sailing and sports. He enjoyed establishing a conservation acreage area on his farm near Garden City after retiring. He is survived by children, Ann and Bill, his sister, Susan Nelson Pollack and husband, and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Red Cross. Manley, Hazel
Our beloved mother, Hazel Manley passed away peacefully August 25, 2018. She was 96 years young. She was born in Sauk Rapids and lived in So. St. Paul, West St. Paul & Inver Grove Heights. Preceded in death by husband of 63 years, Thomas Manley; sister, LaVern McGinn; brothers, James & Lloyd Lezer; great-grandchildren, Katie , Natalie, Matthew and Jacob Larson. Survived by daughters, Maryln (William) Harrison and Kathy (Kenneth) Simpson; grandchildren, Christina (Matthew) Kaufman, Julia (John) Larson, Jeffrey Brown and Steven (Rebecca) Brown along with 11 great-grandchildren. Mother will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten! Visitation Friday, August 31 from 10 AM to 11 AM. Service from 11AM to 12 PM with reception to follow at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 1575 Charlton St., West St. Paul, MN 55118. Gerten, Terrence Leonard “Terry”

Passed suddenly in his sleep on Saturday August 18th, 2018, at age 69. Born January 18th, 1949 to the late Leonard and Margaret Gerten. Terry was a proud lifelong resident of Inver Grove Heights. He enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers, golfing, puzzles, and gambling. Terry was loved by many for his kind smile and generous spirit. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sound advice, and one-liners. Terry’s legacy lives on through his children, whom he was so proud of; by his family; and in his local business. Survived by children Katie, Melissa (Brian) Goski, Tony, Krista Tessier (Justin), and Sarah Tessier (Marcus); Grandchildren Leo, Lucy, Abiel, Lindsey, Nick, Ashlyn, and Oscar; Siblings Kathy Tlougan, Mike (Terry), Jean (Mike) Rolow, Peg (Steve) Hill, Phil (JoAnne), Mark (Saony), Rose DeGuilo (Mark), Joe (Lisa), and Lori (Ed) DeLong; Mother of his children Paulette Gerten. Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Lois; son, David (Michelle), Margaret, Karen (Mike) Stanek & Nancy (Don); 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 1 sister. Sylvester worked at the Schmidt Brewery for over 40 years. He was a very loving husband, father & grandpa and will be deeply missed. Allen, J. Aron
Age 49 of Inver Grove Heights, formerly of New Ulm
Aron was born July 28, 1969 in Shreveport, LA. He was united in marriage to Shelley Reinhart on August 10, 1991. He passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2018.
Aron is survived by Shelley, his loving wife of 27 years; the pride and joy of his life, children Andrew, Nathaniel, Elizabeth & Hannah; parents, Jerry & Susan; brother, Joel (Kara); mother-in-law, Dianne Reinhart; brother-in-law, Dan Reinhart; sisters-in-law, Tricia (Jason) Ritzer & Renae (Tom) Stierlen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father-in-law, Tom Reinhart, and his grandparents.
Aron graduated from New Ulm High School in 1987, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College in 1991 and received his Law Degree from Hamline University in 1994 where he was on the Law Review. He worked as the Division Counsel to Structural Heart-Abbott Laboratories. He was formerly employed by St. Jude Medical, and several law firms.
Aron was a devoted husband and father and was very active in the community, coaching many of his children’s sports teams, including football, hockey, baseball, and softball. Aron found success in all he attempted. He was a ten-time high school letter winner in baseball, hockey, and football. At Harvard, Aron lettered in baseball and hockey and earned All-Ivy honors in baseball.
Aron will be very dearly missed.
Funeral Service 11 AM Monday, August 13th, at the Church of St. Joseph, 1154 Seminole Ave., West St. Paul. Visitation 9-11 AM prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.

Passed away unexpectedly, after a courageous 40-day battle, as a result of a tragic lawn tractor accident. Preceded in death by beloved son, Neil. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Shirley (nee Maciej); children, Randy (Tammy), Debbie (Troy) Wynkoop, Wayne (Sheri), Becky (Nathan) Brezniak & Jason (Kristi); grandchildren, Trevor, Miranda, Brendan, Jordyn, Alyssa, Megan, Bria & Alia; 10 brothers & sisters; also survived by godchildren and many relatives & friends. Jim served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Laborers Union Local #563 for over 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and cut grass.
