Salscheider, Nancy A.
Passed away on Christmas morning surrounded by her family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born in St. Paul, MN on June 24, 1948 to James G. Salscheider and Madonna “Donna” (Prettyman) Salscheider. She attended Derham Hall High School and obtained her nursing degree from St. Mary’s College. Nancy spent her entire working career in various capacities as a dedicated nurse, primarily working in Oncology and Hospice. She often amused her patients, along with her colleagues, family and friends with her wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. Nancy is survived by the light if her life, her son, Timothy James along with his wife Tia and their four children, Skylar, Easton, Paytyn and Tyeson whom she loved with all her heart. Also survived by her brothers, Mike (Jacque), Joe (Bridget), Tim (Anna), and Dan (Sharon) and sister-in-law, Kathy; also her uncle Don and aunt Kaye Prettyman; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack; granddaughter, Angelica. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon Friday, December 29th, at the Church of St. Patrick, 3535 72nd, St., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10 AM – 12 Noon prior to Mass. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
Riley, James W. “The Life”
Age 73 of Inver Grove Heights, Born July 3, 1944 in Durand, WI.
Passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, James & Alice; sisters, Alice Riley, Mary Riley & Edna LaPean; brothers-in-law, Ben Swanson & Bruce LaPean. Survived by daughter, Dawn (Dean) Buchholz; sons, James L. Riley & Terry Thibado; grandchildren, Stephanie (Taylor) Kaminski & Tony Riley, Brooke and Emma; great-granddaughter, Brynn Kaminski; sisters, Patricia (Richard) Weisman & Katherine Swanson; brothers, Patrick, Anthony, Terrance (Ginger) & Michael (Marjorie); also other relatives & friends. James attended Durand High School. He was a US Navy Veteran and a retired machinist from 3M. Memorial Service 2 PM Saturday, December 30th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 12 Noon – 2 PM prior to the service. Private interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Durand, WI. In Lieu of flowers memorials preferred to any Veterans Service of your choosing.

Age 82 of Queretaro, Mexico, formerly of Eagan, MN.
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 21, 2017. Preceded in death by daughter, Monica Oliveros Strout; 2 sisters; one brother. Survived by loving wife of 34 years, Carmela; children, Manuel Oliveros, Adriana (Bill) Krech & Denisse Oliveros; grandchildren, Samantha, Dominic, Christopher, Ryan, Daniela & Wesley; sisters, Pilar Gemeinhardt & Maria Eugenia Chavez. Manuel retired to Mexico after working 30 plus years at Northwest Airlines. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday, December 27th, at the Church of St. Thomas Becket, 4455 So. Morrisette, John “Jack”
Jack Morrisette died December 13, 2017. Jack loved golf, the north woods and the Green Bay Packers. He was proud of his French heritage and Navy Service. Jack’s Catholic faith was important to him and he often trekked to Holy Trinity Church at the crack of dawn, for prayer. Jack enjoyed the car business though the true reward for him was connecting with people, which he did, even on his last day. Celebrate of the “Life and Times of Jack Morrisette” with friends and family Saturday January 6th from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at StoneRidge Golf Club in Stillwater, MN.
Tunell, Emalyn “Emie”
Went home to be with Jesus surrounded by her family, on December 18th, 2017, at the age of 86. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vera Olson, her brother, Merlin Olson (Audrey). Survived by Jack, her beloved husband of 62 years; sister, Ardis Palm (Lew); children, Patty Fitzgerald (Dan), Robert Tunell (LeAnn), Linda Tunell & Mary Peter as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was born and raised in Evansville MN and moved to the Twin Cities to begin her nursing training at Bethesda Hospital. She married Jack Tunell in 1955 and raised 4 children in Inver Grove Heights. She was employed as a Registered Nurse her entire career that spanned over 50 years. She served at Bethesda Hospital, Inver Grove Care Center, and Southview Acres Health Care Center until she retired in 2002. After her retirement, she continued to volunteer at Bethesda Hospital and served many volunteer roles at Concordia Lutheran Church, where they were members for over 50 years. God gifted her with a servant’s heart and she spent her life making everyone she met feel special and deeply loved (especially children). Visitation 4-7 PM Friday, December 22nd, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave. Inver Grove Hts. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 23rd, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 255 W. Douglas St, South St. Paul, MN 55075. Visitation also one hour prior to service. Private interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a future date.
Berney, Louis Claude
Age 88
Passed away peacefully on December 6, 2017. Survived by his daughter, Françoise (Chuck); grandchildren, Zachary and Stephanie (Chad); great-grand-children Parker and Bentley; loving partner, Arlene Curran and her family; sister, Marceline; brother, Roger and nephews residing in Switzerland. Louis was a Flight Captain at 3M until retirement. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later time.

Formerly of South St. Paul and Danbury, WI. Ted passed away peacefully with granddaughter, Jennifer at his side. Ted was a WW II Veteran in the US Navy. Preceded in death by wife, Virginia; son, Gerald. Survived by son, Thomas (Linda); daughter-in-law, Dianne; grandchildren, Jeff (Katie), Jennifer (Jimmy), Pam (Scott) & John (Lani); 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; also many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, December 5th, at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 749 6th Ave., South St. Paul. Visitation 10-11 AM prior to the Mass. Private interment Ft. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on November 24, 2017. Survived by beloved husband of 67 years, John, and their children, Diane (Patrick) Maloney, Mark (Sarah), Steve (Celeste), Pat (John) Link, Rebecca (Roger) Quick & Janice (Jim) Ohman; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Ruthe’s passions included her family, her faith, doll making and playing cards. She enjoyed a very active social life and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
