Passed away peacefully on April 19th, 2017 at the age of 83. Arlene was from Duluth, MN where she graduated from Stanbrook Hall and met her husband, LeRoy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, the art of cooking and gardening, hosting holiday gatherings for friends and families, and swimming and socializing with her friends at the West St. Paul YMCA. She traveled the world with her husband, family, and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; parents, Jim and Mary; sisters, Marilyn (Jim and John), Betty, and Mary (Wade). Survived by brother-in-law, Carl (Janet); children, Beth (Tim), Douglas (Jean), and Greg (Jenn); grandchildren, Cassidy, Melody, Samantha (Ryan), Anna (Brian), Jamie (Jordan), Phillip, Steven, and Erica (Tom); great-grandchildren, Elli, Olivia, Avery, Adelyn, Cecelia, Nessa, and Calvin; adored cat, Callie. Rancone, Eugene Anthony
Passed Away on April 14, 2017. Age 88
Was born in a house at 195 Chestnut St., February 13, 1929 to Anthony and Carmella Rancone. He was a proud graduate of Cretin High School (Class of ’47). He often stated that he learned how fragile life is, serving his country as a U.S.A.F. pilot in the Korean War. In his dress uniform, he met nurse Bernardine Halloran from Bird Island on a blind date and got married 30 days later for the next 60 years until her death in 2012. Through his career in commercial real estate development, he leaves his thumbprints from Edina to Lilydale and especially in his beloved downtown St. Paul. He commissioned a piece of public art in the fountain on 4th and St. Peter Streets entitled “La Nuova Vita” – The New Life – in tribute not only to his Italian relatives, but to the gifts that all immigrants bring to St. Paul and America. He now joins his sister Jean; infant daughter, Mary; grandson, Tony; his great in-laws, Dick Cunningham, Art Baumeister, Tom and Bill Halloran and Jim Murphy, along with his relatives from the Palumbo and Halloran/Hillemeier clans, and friends who have pre-deceased him. He leaves behind sons, Mark (Jeanne), Michael (Mary Bifulk), Gregory (Shannon McFall) and John; grandchildren, Natalie (Pat) Cahalan, Nick, Frank (Julia), Mia (Devin), Natasha and Alisha, Gino and Angela; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Miles, Enzo and Elisabetta; loving sister, Lorraine Cunningham; in-laws, Karol Baumeister, Arlene Murphy, Bob Halloran, Alverne Halloran, Iris Halloran and friend Suzanne Werner and her gracious family. Thanks to the HealthEast oncology and hospice teams, Dr. James Shanks and caregivers, Ann and Paulina. A special thanks to Dr. Jim Giefer for his compassionate guidance. June 22, 1942 – April 8, 2017
Judy, beloved wife of 52 years, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend and ‘Nana’ passed away on April 8th at age 74. Judy battled Alzheimer’s as did her mother and brothers before her. Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, April 12th, with visitation one hour prior at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, 7160 So. Robert Trail, Inver Grove Heights, where Judy and Gary were founding members. Judy will be laid to rest at Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials will be given to the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s of which Judy successfully participated in this past year. Judy loved Tennis, Golf, and in addition utilized her creative talents and love of sewing to create original works of art beloved by many. After suffering from the disabling effects of Alzheimer’s disease, Judy rose above it, peacefully, with family and friends by her side. Judy is preceded in death by her brother, Henry; parents, Henry and Louise, Mabel and Gordon Sommerland; sister-in-law, Sandy Sommerland and, of course, her beloved pets. She is survived by her biggest fan and cheerleader, Gary; son, Bryan and wife, Kristin; grandchildren Evan, Maddy, Jake and Alex; brothers, Harvey and Scott Franz and families; sister-in-law’s; many nieces & nephews; great-nieces and nephews. The family offers a very special thank you to all the family and friends who visited, prayed, and those who cared for Judy, especially during the past year including the caring, considerate caregivers at Inver Glen Senior Community and their support of us in our sorrow.
May you rest in peace, Judy. We miss you and love you dearly.

“This is Dennis from crew scheduling and I have a trip for you.” Age 79 of Inver Grove Heights went home to be with the Lord Jesus on April 7, 2017. He was born on January 5, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up on the family farm in Jeffers, MN. Preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Frieda; brothers, Vernon, Harlen; and Judith Leppi. Survived by son, Jeff (Jane); daughter, Allyson (Tod); grandchildren, Edward, Emily, Justin & Mikaela; sister, Darlene; also nieces and nephews. Dennis was a devoted father and grandfather. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from Northwest Airlines after 39 years of service. Passed Away on April 3, 2017. Age 90 of Inver Grove Heights
Born 9-9-27 in Browerville, MN. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia. After serving in WWII & Korea, he went to Dunwoody getting a Master’s Degree. Went into business with Carlson Store Fixture. After a huge success, he started up the 1st Target store in Roseville, and many more to follow. Sold business in 1970 & moved to California for 31 years. After Pat’s passing in 2014, he moved back to MN with his nephew, Mike & Pat Spargur who became his caregivers. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann; brother, Donald (Sharon); sister-in-law, Nancy; many nieces, nephews and special friends. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice. Memorial Service at Roberts Funeral Home in IGH, MN at 10 am Monday, April 10. Military Burial at Fort Snelling to follow. Lunch provided at Axel’s in Mendota Heights.
