Sandy Wentkiewicz, age 71, of Barnum, MN

Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9th, 2018. She went home while being surrounded by her family and friends after fighting her battle with cancer.

Sandy was born to Lloyd and Dorothy Andree on December 10th, 1946 in Duluth, MN. She started her career teaching Mathematics and then became the Technology Specialist at Hermantown School District until she retired.

Her family and hobbies meant everything to her. She loved living in the woods where she could watch and feed the birds while taking pictures of many of them. She also enjoyed being on the lake viewing nature and listening to the swans in the spring, the loons in the summer and the eagles all year long.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Dorothy Andree.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by husband, Tony; children, Lori (Randy) Buchman, Alan Wentkiewicz, Heidi (Mark) Sims; grandchildren, Tatianna and Andrew Sims and Logan Buchman; siblings, Dick Andree (Cathy); also many nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of Life Friday, March 16th, 2018 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Barnum Senior Center, 3794 Main St, Barnum, MN 55707.  Funeral Service Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 9:00 am at Fort Snelling with the immediate family.

Washington-Staymate, Shar’Vron Darrese “Shay”

Age 28 of Apple Valley, MN

Passed away on February 27, 2018. Survived by parents, Darryl Eugene Washington & Sherese Raychell Washington-Roble; grandmother, Sharon Regina Campbell-Marshall; great-grandmother, Bobbie Jean Campbell; also many other loving family & friends. Shar’Vron (Shay’s) life philosophy was not going to the bar to have fun (not knocking those that do) but for Shay playing laser tag, hiking, festivals, road trips, museums, star gazing, go kart, tattoo shops, thrift stores, camping, watching the sun rise…..this was fun for Shay. Shay once posted on F/B a quote that describe her as a young vibrate woman, “A woman who speaks with her own voice, walked her own path fiercely, talked with grace and dignity, and she most defiantly dance to the rhythm of her own drum”. Shay loved God first and then her family and friends with love and respect. This was Shay!

A Celebration of Shar’Vron’s life will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 14th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Cameron, Joan Marie

Age 61 of St. Paul, Formerly of Inver Grove Heights

Preceded in death by parents, Laurice & George. Survived by siblings, Laurice Ann Kloski, Mary Hennessy, George, Terry (Charley) Noel, Pat (Laura), Geri (Paul) Olson, Peggy (Dennis) Smith, John (Holly), Bridgit, Paul (Janie); many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends. Joan was very social and generous, she loved people, especially her family. She loved books and reading. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday, March 14th, at the Church of St. Patrick, 3535 72nd St., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 9-11 AM prior to Mass at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Patrick’s Church. Special thanks to all of Joan’s caregivers, especially Vivian & Sarah, for all of their loving care also to Fr. Bob Hart and the staff at St. Patrick’s Church for their support and kindness.

Marousek, Richard

Our Brother and Cousin, Richard (Rich) Marousek, 70 years, passed peacefully on March 3, 2018, after a one-year battle against lung cancer.  Rich was born June 13, 1947 in Sioux City, IA to parents Leslie and Margaret (Van Houten) Marousek. Rich attended grade school in Sioux City, moved with his family to Fairmont, MN in 1956, and moved to Spencer, IA with his family in 1958. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary school and Spencer High School graduating in 1966. Rich then attended Iowa State University and graduated in 1972 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Rich was a member of the MN and IA National Guard and served our country for 6 years. In 1973 Rich moved to St. Paul and began his life long career as an Engineer at Sperry/Univac in Roseville, MN. He spent 36 years at Sperry through all the corporate changes and retired in 2009.

Rich was preceded in death by his Parents Leslie and Margaret, stepfather, Fern Fitzloff, and Grandparents.  He is survived by his brother Leslie and sister-in-law Sharon of Okoboji, IA and cousins Bill (Kay) Fahey of Northfield, Marilyn (Ron) Lessard of Breezy Point, Paul (Delia), of St. Cloud, Georgann Dean of Inver Grove Heights, Pam Fahey of New Ulm, Pat (Dan) Bacon of Fairmont, Maureen Fahey of Apple Valley, Geralyn (Carl) Gieseke of Courtland, and Michelle (Joe) Sellner of New Ulm, Karen Boeber of Sioux City,  Sandy Duffey of Springfield, MO, Paul Jarrett of Waukee, IA, Donna Sneed of Rockvail, TN, Patty Stiles of Des Moines, and Mike Jarrett of Missoula, MT

Rich was a kind and generous man who shared his electrical and carpentry skills. Whenever anyone needed a helping hand, he was there. He helped build decks, refinish basements, and expand garages. His analytical mind was a great asset!  He was loved and will be missed.

Services will be held at St. Odilia’s Catholic Church, 3495 North Victoria Street, Shoreview, MN on Tuesday, March 13 at 12 noon with visitation at 11:00 a.m.   A memorial service and burial will be in Spencer, IA at a later date.  Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Odilia’s Catholic School.

Age 89 of Inver Grove Heights

Survived by children, Susan (Keith) Pearson, Kathryn, Tom (Ruth) & Diana; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren & extended family. Woodhouse, Londo Jerome “Woody”

Was born on August 2, 1945 to Londo J. Woodhouse and Elizabeth R. Woodhouse in Chicago. IL where they both preceded him in death. Londo received his formal education through Chicago Public School System, where he excelled in his career journey. Londo accepted Christ as his personal Savior at Greater Mount Sinai MB Church, Chicago, IL at an early age under the Pastor Rev. George W. Jones, where he served and truly loved the Lord. Londo was employed by Northwest Airlines where he worked for 35 years in Equipment Service before retiring in 2004. In his leisure time, Lomdo enjoyed fishing, vacationing with the family and gardening. Londo loved his family and his generosity for helping others was his way of showing how much he cared. His passion for barbecuing brought together family and friends when celebrating his birthday. Londo was very friendly and sociable and made new friends wherever he went. Londo was preceded in death by parents, Londo B. Woodhouse and Elizabeth R. Woodhouse; sister, June E. Nichols and longtime friend, Sandra Beard. He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Londo C. Woodhouse (Deloris), Jerry J. Woodhouse and Jerome Woodhouse; daughter, Kathy Hughes; the mother of his 3 children, Sherry Cohen; Sandra Beard’s children, Corey Beard & Tanisha Beard; grandchildren, Amber Woodhouse, Shon Haastrup, Trey Woodhouse; brothers and sisters, Yvonne Adams, Janet Rhodes, Michael Woodhouse, Bernard Woodhouse (Imelda), John Woodhouse (Sylvia) and Alicia M. Fielder and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2018. Preceded in death by grandparents, Dee & Shirley Meyers and Richard & Shirley Hayes. Survived by loving parents, Joe & Patty; brother, Rob; sister, Jodee (Aaron) Enfield; godmother to nieces, Avah & Yllena and nephew, Aaron Joseph; also other family and many friends. Tiffany was a free spirit who will be dearly missed. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon Saturday, March 3rd, at the Church of St. Patrick, 3353 72nd St., Inver Grove Heights. Twining, Eleanor

(Nee Chumbley)

We are heartbroken to announce our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Eleanor Twining of Inver Grove Hts., MN passed away on February 20, 2018. Eleanor was born November 15, 1925 on a farm south of Indianola, Iowa in the Brown Chapel neighborhood to Joseph and Catherine (Brebner) Chumbley. She attended Mt. Moriah, a country school, through 8th grade, then 9th through 12th grades at Indianola High School. Upon graduation she moved to Des Moines, IA and began work as a secretary at Equitable Life Insurance Company of IA. She remained there until 1948 when she accepted a position as executive secretary to the president of State Automobile and Casualty Underwriters in Des Moines. On December 4th, 1948 she was united in marriage to Calvin Twining in Davenport, IA at the First Presbyterian Church. Four Children were born to this happy marriage, twin daughters, Candy and Cristy; a son, Brett; and another daughter, Mary. They lived in Des Moines, IA until 1968 when they purchased Minnesota Precast Industries Inc. and moved to South St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy and Glenn Chumbley of IA; and her sister, Mildred Shuell of Oregon. She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin; her children, Candy (Jeff) Hazen, Cris (Tony) Kallas, Brett Twining, Mary (Jim) Overby; her grandchildren, Jason (Jen) and Jeff Kallas and Lindsay and Molly Overby; along with many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of South St. Paul, P.E.O. Chapter H, and the South St. Paul Study Club. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 2nd, at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 535 20th Ave. No., South St. Paul. Family will greet friends beginning at 10 am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to P.E.O. Chapter H, The South St. Paul Public Library, The First Presbyterian Church of South St. Paul or HealthEast The Pillars Hospice.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on February 17, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Syl & Pat Grodnick. Survived by loving husband, Kevin; daughters, Kennedy & Kaitlin; brother, Max (Kim) Grodnick; sister, Rebecca Guertin; also nieces, nephews & many friends. Toot loved being with her family and friend especially at the cabin.
