Morrisette, John “Jack”

 

Jack Morrisette died December 13, 2017. Jack loved golf, the north woods and the Green Bay Packers.  He was proud of his French heritage and Navy Service. Jack’s Catholic faith was important to him and he often trekked to Holy Trinity Church at the crack of dawn, for prayer. Jack enjoyed the car business though the true reward for him was connecting with people, which he did, even on his last day. Celebrate of the “Life and Times of Jack Morrisette” with friends and family Saturday January 6th from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at StoneRidge Golf Club in Stillwater, MN.

 

Tunell, Emalyn “Emie”

Went home to be with Jesus surrounded by her family, on December 18th, 2017, at the age of 86. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vera Olson, her brother, Merlin Olson (Audrey). Survived by Jack, her beloved husband of 62 years; sister, Ardis Palm (Lew); children, Patty Fitzgerald (Dan), Robert Tunell (LeAnn), Linda Tunell & Mary Peter as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was born and raised in Evansville MN and moved to the Twin Cities to begin her nursing training at Bethesda Hospital. She married Jack Tunell in 1955 and raised 4 children in Inver Grove Heights.  She was employed as a Registered Nurse her entire career that spanned over 50 years. She served at Bethesda Hospital, Inver Grove Care Center, and Southview Acres Health Care Center until she retired in 2002. After her retirement, she continued to volunteer at Bethesda Hospital and served many volunteer roles at Concordia Lutheran Church, where they were members for over 50 years. God gifted her with a servant’s heart and she spent her life making everyone she met feel special and deeply loved (especially children).  Visitation 4-7 PM Friday, December 22nd, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave. Inver Grove Hts. Funeral service will be held  at 11 AM on Saturday, December 23rd, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 255 W. Douglas St, South St. Paul, MN 55075. Visitation also one hour prior to service. Private interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a future date.

Berney, Louis Claude

Age 88

Passed away peacefully on December 6, 2017. Survived by his daughter, Françoise (Chuck); grandchildren, Zachary and Stephanie (Chad); great-grand-children Parker and Bentley; loving partner, Arlene Curran and her family; sister, Marceline; brother, Roger and nephews residing in Switzerland. Louis was a Flight Captain at 3M until retirement. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later time.

 

Hiti, Duane “Papa Dew”

Age 80 of Inver Grove Heights, MN

Passed away peacefully on December 3, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Ignace and Antoinette Hiti. Survived by sons, Chris (Lorrie), Andy (Belinda), Charles, Sam (Romina), Dave; 6 grandchildren and longtime companion, Christine Kenyon. Visitation Friday, December 8 from 4pm-7pm at Roberts Funeral Home 8108 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights. Tourville, Theodore “Ted”

Age 90 of Inver Grove Heights

Formerly of South St. Paul and Danbury, WI. Ted passed away peacefully with granddaughter, Jennifer at his side. Ted was a WW II Veteran in the US Navy. Preceded in death by wife, Virginia; son, Gerald. Survived by son, Thomas (Linda); daughter-in-law, Dianne; grandchildren, Jeff (Katie), Jennifer (Jimmy), Pam (Scott) & John (Lani); 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; also many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, December 5th, at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 749 6th Ave., South St. Paul. Visitation 10-11 AM prior to the Mass. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Thank you to White Pine Assisted Living. We would also like to thank Abode Hospice for their compassion and excellent care – nurse, Tina, nurse Sue, social worker, Michelle, chaplain, Kate and health aide, Jesyka, who was absolutely wonderful.

Perron, Ruthe

Age 86 of Inver Grove Heights. Formerly of Mendota Heights.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on November 24, 2017. Survived by beloved husband of 67 years, John, and their children, Diane (Patrick) Maloney, Mark (Sarah), Steve (Celeste), Pat (John) Link, Rebecca (Roger) Quick & Janice (Jim) Ohman; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Ruthe’s passions included her family, her faith, doll making and playing cards. She enjoyed a very active social life and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation 4-8 pm Tuesday, November 28th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Wednesday at the Church of St. Peter, 1405 Sibley Memorial Hwy, Mendota Heights. Visitation also one hour prior to Mass. Interment St. Peter’s Church Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Historic Church of St. Peter.

Taflinger, Evelyn J. “Evie”

 

Passed away peacefully on Nov. 21, 2017, surrounded by family. Survived by her son, Mike; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gathering of family and friends Friday, December 1st,  from 4-7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights.

Fritz, Delores

Age 88 of Inver Grove Heights passed away November 8, 2017.  Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Kenneth, daughter Julie, son-in-law Ben, and daughter-in-law Sandy.  Survived by son Lee; 3 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson and 5 great grand children.

 Funeral service will be at 11 AM Friday, November 17 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, 3239 70th St., IGH.  Visitation 4-7 PM Thursday at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., IGH.  Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Ziemer, Donna

Donna (Sobaski) Ziemer was born Nov. 19, 1931 and died Nov. 8, 2017 Preceded in death by parents, Rose and Frank Sobaski, brother Mel, sister Suzanne, and great-grandson, Anthony. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill. They were married 62 years. Also survived by sons Kevin (Marleen) and Dave (Martha); daughters Becky (Tom), Ann, Pauline (Stan) and Jennifer (Dan). Also survived by brother Darrel Sobaski, sister-in-law Barb Sobaski, brother-in-law Jim (Mary), and 12 grandchildren. She was a teacher, a foster mother, and an active member of her church. She loved babies, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, reading and letter writing. She made friends everywhere she went. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Monday, November 20th at the Church of St. John Vianney, 840 19th St. No., South St Paul. Visitation 3-5 PM Sunday, November 19th at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave, IGH also 9:30-10:30 prior to Mass at the church. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. No flowers please, due to family allergies. Memorials preferred to Wakota Life Care Center, St. John Vianney Church, or donor’s choice.
