Robert Earl Bee
Age 60 of Mendota Heights, MN
Passed away after a battle with post-heart transplant complications on July 2, 2024 at the U of M Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. Robert was born in Durand, WI in 1963 to Ervin and Roselle Bee. He attended school in Arkansaw, WI before studying solar energy and then moving to Texas for a short time for work experience. He returned to Minnesota and worked as a contractor specializing in electrical and plumbing repair and long-haul trucking. Robert met the love of his life, Vickie Quade, in 2009. On their first date, she introduced him to sausage, green olive and sauerkraut pizza which became a favorite for him as well. Excited to start their lives together, Robert proposed in 2010 to Vickie on her birthday and they married on September 24, 2011. Robert had a soft spot for dogs, treating them all like the valuable family member they were. Whenever Robert would leave the house, the dogs knew they would be going with him and would often visit Vickie at her hair salon. Robert was passionate about mentoring others about plumbing and electrical. He would drop whatever he was doing to help others with home projects, sometimes to Vickie’s chagrin as his own projects at home wouldn’t get completed timely. Robert was also an active member of The Harbor Church for many years, working with the youth groups. He enjoyed teaching them music and encouraging them to achieve their dreams. Everyone who knew Robert knew how much he loved car shows and fishing. He and Vickie went to the Back to the 50’s car show every year they were together. Although he didn’t have a lot of opportunities, some of his happiest moments were spent on the water with a fishing rod in his hand. Robert will always be remembered for his devotion to Vickie. We couldn’t have asked for a better role model. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father Ervin Bee and many more loving aunts, uncles, and relatives. Robert is survived by his wife, Vickie Bee; mother, Roselle Bee; siblings, Brian (Tina) Bee, Timothy (Jeanne) Bee, Melissa (William) Johnson, 15 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces and nephews. Please join us for a Celebration of Life on August 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home at 8108 Barbara Avenue, Inver Grove Heights, MN. There will be a time of sharing at 3:00 pm for those who wish to share a special memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcome.
