Age 94 of Crosslake, MN (formerly of Inver Grove Heights)

Died Friday, April 28, 2017 at Regina Nursing Home in Hastings, MN. She was born May 5, 1922 in Belgrade, MN, the daughter of Rudolph J. & Agnes Amelia (Holtberg) Anderson. Harriet graduated from Hamline University with the Class of 1944. On August 4, 1943 she was united in marriage to Orval M. Bierman in Austin, Texas. They moved from Belgrade to Inver Grove Heights in the Spring of 1958. That fall Harriet started work for ISD 199 as a substitute teacher and became the librarian at the four elementary schools in the district and finished her career as librarian for the Inver Grove Heights Middle School. In 1982, Harriet retired and enjoyed spending summer months in Crosslake. In her spare time, she enjoyed counted cross-stitch, embroidery, reading and spending time with her friends, family and children. Harriet is survived by four children, Joan of Crosslake, Elaine (Ray) Gergen of Hastings, Robert of Crosslake and Tim (Kathy) of Inver Grove Heights; seven grandchildren, Shari Wagner, Beth (Jon) Molitor, Stacy (Mike) Munson, Greg (Megan) Gergen, Mark Bierman, Lynne (Gary) Kiefer & John Bierman; nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, everyone who knew her as Grandma B and long-time friend Lucy. Funeral Service 11 am Wednesday, May 3^rd at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave. Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10-11 am prior to the service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to donor’s choice.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 27, 2017 of heart failure. Preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Helen (Ed Cassidy); brothers,  Charles & Richard. Survived by husband of 46 years, Thomas; children, Chad, Tawnya (Jason) & Jamie (Jenny); granddaughters, Britany (Dustin), Tiana, Hannah, Courtney and Olivia too!; sister, Kathy Forschen (Al) brother Jeff (Crissi).  After nine years with her incurable broken heart, she has peacefully arrived at Home. Memorial Service 4 PM Friday, May 5th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 2-4 pm prior to the service.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 22, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Steve & Caroline Zamen; 3 brothers; 1 sister; beloved daughter, Laura Devereaux. Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandma & great-grandma. She worked many years as a secretary. Passed away peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, on April 25, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Tony & Ida Sauer; sister, Antoinette; Survived by husband, Roger; sister, Teddy; sons, Tony (Lisa) & Todd (Amy); grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor, Grace, & Jack; also many other relatives & friends.  Interment will take place at Fort Snelling Cemetery at a later date. Passed peacefully surrounded by her family on April 19, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Frank & Ruth; son, Billy. Survived by her loving family, daughter, Leanne (John); sister, Diane; brother, Denny; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews & her special Sistas. A volunteer for Breath of Hope and Trinity Senior Activites, her legacy will go on in her beautiful bracelet designs to support lung cancer research. Marilyn touched all she came into contact with. Passed away peacefully on April 19th, 2017 at the age of 83. Arlene was from Duluth, MN where she graduated from Stanbrook Hall and met her husband, LeRoy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, the art of cooking and gardening, hosting holiday gatherings for friends and families, and swimming and socializing with her friends at the West St. Paul YMCA. She traveled the world with her husband, family, and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; parents, Jim and Mary; sisters, Marilyn (Jim and John), Betty, and Mary (Wade). Survived by brother-in-law, Carl (Janet); children, Beth (Tim), Douglas (Jean), and Greg (Jenn); grandchildren, Cassidy, Melody, Samantha (Ryan), Anna (Brian), Jamie (Jordan), Phillip, Steven, and Erica (Tom); great-grandchildren, Elli, Olivia, Avery, Adelyn, Cecelia, Nessa, and Calvin; adored cat, Callie. Passed Away on April 14, 2017. Age 88

Was born in a house at 195 Chestnut St., February 13, 1929 to Anthony and Carmella Rancone. He was a proud graduate of Cretin High School (Class of ’47). He often stated that he learned how fragile life is, serving his country as a U.S.A.F. pilot in the Korean War. In his dress uniform, he met nurse Bernardine Halloran from Bird Island on a blind date and got married 30 days later for the next 60 years until her death in 2012. Through his career in commercial real estate development, he leaves his thumbprints from Edina to Lilydale and especially in his beloved downtown St. Paul. He commissioned a piece of public art in the fountain on 4th and St. Peter Streets entitled “La Nuova Vita” – The New Life – in tribute not only to his Italian relatives, but to the gifts that all immigrants bring to St. Paul and America. He now joins his sister Jean; infant daughter, Mary; grandson, Tony; his great in-laws, Dick Cunningham, Art Baumeister, Tom and Bill Halloran and Jim Murphy, along with his relatives from the Palumbo and Halloran/Hillemeier clans, and friends who have pre-deceased him. He leaves behind sons, Mark (Jeanne), Michael (Mary Bifulk), Gregory (Shannon McFall) and John; grandchildren, Natalie (Pat) Cahalan, Nick, Frank (Julia), Mia (Devin), Natasha and Alisha, Gino and Angela; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Miles, Enzo and Elisabetta; loving sister, Lorraine Cunningham; in-laws, Karol Baumeister, Arlene Murphy, Bob Halloran, Alverne Halloran, Iris Halloran and friend Suzanne Werner and her gracious family.
