Gibbons, Louis E.
Age 80 of Eagan, MN.
Passed away at home March 4th, 2024 with his family by his side. Born February 7th, 1944 in Pittston, PA. Son of the late James and Helen Kaminski Gibbons of Jenkins Township. Also preceded in death by brother John Gibbons.
Louis graduated from Jenkins Township High School in 1961. He then entered the US Army, serving from 1961 to 1964. He worked for the National Airline before joining NW Orient Airlines in 1966 then retiring in April 2007 after 40 ½ years.
He is survived by wife the former Judith Anne Healey; step sons, Joseph Sciandra of Pittston, PA, John Scheiderich of Bloomington, MN, Lawrence Scheiderich and wife, Cortissa, of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Zoe, Brinley, Hezekiah, Jeremiah and Nathanial Scheiderich, also Nikki and David Sciandra; brothers, James Gibbons and wife, Dolly; also other extended family and friends.
Louis had a large loving extended family in MN. He was a generous, devoted husband and father. We will miss him very much.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Thursday, March 21st at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd, Eagan. There will be a one hour viewing from 9 – 10 am. Louis will be laid to rest Friday, March 22nd at 11 am at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with military honors.

Svihel, David “Libby”
Age 68 of Inver Grove Heights.
Passed away on March 9, 2024. Preceded in death by father, Clarence. Survived by loving wife, Shari; mother, LaRue; sisters, Noreen (Gary) Berg & Mary (Tom) Richardson; brother, Pete (Kathy); niece, Dawn; nephew, Chris; other family & friends. Dave was a longtime employee of Schanno Transportation and Thermo King. He had a passion for building and racing hot rods and really loved his family Farmstead. He took a dilapidated farm and turned it into an amazing place to live. He enjoyed working with his hands in the wood shop and fabricating parts in the metal shop. He enjoyed golf carts rides around the property and on the paths he created in the woods. As well as all kinds of fun around the “brainerd trailer”. He built multiple hot rods which he won many awards for and took great pleasure in showing them at various car shows. A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday, March 17 with a time of sharing beginning at 4:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077. Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Age 70 of Inver Grove Heights
Passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024.
Preceded in death by parents, Patrick & Mary Riley; brother, Jerome; sister, MaDonna.
Survived by loving husband of 28 years, Jerry; sister, Mary Beth Riley; 3 step-children, Christopher, Jessica (John), Shawn (Deanne); 7 grandchildren, Morgyn, Madison, McKenna, Alyssa, Jayden, Amanda, Amelia; also other family & friends.
Norma loved to do all crafts.

Willenbring, Dolores Marie
Dolores Marie Willenbring of South St. Paul passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2024, at the age of 86, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dolores was born in St. Paul on February 19, 1938, to Fred and Philomena Sweet. She attended Monroe High School, class of 1956.
Dolores married her soulmate, Herbert “Herb” Willenbring on April 23rd, 1960, at St Stanislaus Catholic church in St. Paul. They were blessed with 5 beautiful children.
For over 35 years she was a daycare provider. She was patient and loving and her house was a home to all the families she welcomed and cared for. They were all a part of her family.
She had a very strong faith and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for 48 years, involved in women groups, and loved to put her baking talents to work in the annual bake sale. She was also a member of the Razzle Dazzle Red Hatters. She was an avid football fan (pro & college) and had many “favorite” players and teams. She enjoyed playing cards (500) with friends. She also enjoyed taking road trips, cruises, and vacations.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Willenbring; her children, Tom (Susie), Kevin (Nancy), Kim (Dan Loeffelholz) and John (Jill Hewitt); her grandchildren, Matt (Lynsey), Brianna, Nicolas, Amie and Luke; son-in-law, William (Jan) Lesher; sisters, Darlene and Dorothy.
Dolores was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann Lesher; grandchildren, Sandy & Joshua and daughter-in-law, Pam Willenbring.
Dolores will be remembered and greatly missed by her family, neighbors, and lifelong friends. The family would like to thank Hospice of Midwest for their wonderful care.
Visitation Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077.

Marisa’s passion and love for cooking was well known by all and she delighted in bringing that joy to others who visited her home. In her adventurous years she spent time scuba diving, flying with her private pilot’s license, and riding her Harley Davidson. For her quieter side, she always enjoyed the family/friend getaways for toes in the sand under palm trees surrounded by the calm ocean breeze. Above all, she loved her blue-eyed, blonde girls who she prayed for fervently.
As a beloved daughter, wife, and mother, you will be missed dearly and yet we are so grateful for the time we were blessed to have with you and the beauty of your memory that will live on forever.

Hunt, Shelia Jeanine
Sheila Jeanine Hunt, born on November 13, 1942, in St. Paul, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2024, in the same city, surrounded by her loving family.
Sheila was a woman of remarkable strength and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Growing up as one of ten children, Sheila was forged in a certain toughness and can-do attitude that served her well in life. Born and raised in St. Paul, she spent her early years exploring the wonders of the world around her, fostering a deep appreciation for nature and adventure.
Sheila graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Paul, where she began to cultivate her love for learning and community. She continued her education by completing cosmetology training and later ventured into accounting, where she demonstrated her adaptability and determination in pursuing new challenges.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Sheila loved to travel and was always eager to share her experiences and wisdom with others. Whether she was exploring the rugged landscapes of the mountains or immersing herself in the vibrant cultures of distant lands, she approached life with an insatiable curiosity and boundless optimism.
Sheila had a strong and curious mind, always reading and taking on new hobbies, especially when she and Herb moved to New Mexico. There, she embraced the opportunity to immerse herself in the rich cultural of the Southwest, expanding her horizons and deepening her appreciation for the world around her.
Sheila was a lover of all animals, including those she took into her home – Brandy, Bear, Lady and Frank. Her compassion extended to all creatures, and she found great joy in providing care and love to her furry companions.
Sheila’s generous spirit extended beyond her home, as she found fulfillment in serving others in her community. Whether it was being active in her church, taking care of older neighbors, delivering meals on wheels, providing family haircuts, or baking vast quantities of treats for everyone to enjoy, Sheila touched countless lives with her kindness and selflessness.
Sheila will be remembered as a kind soul, whose gentle nature and compassionate heart left an enduring legacy of love and generosity. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sheila cherished her role as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She shared over four decades of love and companionship with her husband, Herb, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Sheila was survived by her husband of 42 years, Herbert; son Matthew (Melissa); grandchildren: Noah and Alex; sisters: Diane Thibodeau, Rosalie (Walter) Wescott, Sharon (Joe) Reid, Mary Noelle (Larry) Mastel, Claudia (Don) Danneker, and sister-in-laws Margaret Hunt and Shirley Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Sheila was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Greeman Hunt; sister Colonel Maureen Hunt; brothers Roger Hunt, Warren Hunt, and Dennis Hunt. Their memory will be forever cherished alongside Sheila’s own.
In Sheila’s honor, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire us all.

Gill, Joseph H.
Age 99
Our loving father, Joseph H. Gill, of West St. Paul MN, formerly of New Prague, Bloomington and Annandale, peacefully passed away at home on 2/22/24, at the age of 99. He was born in New Prague in 1924 to Joseph and Eva Gill and lived on the family farm until leaving to serve in the Navy during WWII. He raised his family in Bloomington before retiring on Sugar Lake in Annandale. He moved back to West St Paul in 2013 to be closer to his children.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia; brothers Alois, Hilly, Alphonse, Norbert; sisters Beatrice, Cecilia, Gertrude. He is survived by his sister Rose Mary, children Peggy (Doug) Mollison, Julie (Rick) Kerns, Joseph (Jacklyn) Gill, David Gill, Ann Gill, Michael Gill, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
He was reunited with our mom the night before their 67th wedding anniversary. May they celebrate together for all eternity.
A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 10:30am with visitation 1 hour prior at the Church of St. Peter, 1405 Hwy 13, Mendota, MN 55150. A Luncheon will follow the mass.
