1963 graduate of Grand Rapids High School. Passed away on April 27, 2016, due to complications from an asthmatic attack. She was surrounded by friends, family, and precious hymns at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Carol was born in Grand Rapids MN, and resided in Inver Grove Heights, MN. She was a music teacher all her life with her latest position as a Director at K&S Conservatory of Music in Woodbury MN. She is survived by her brother, Tom (Nancy) Hanna, husband of 48 years, William; children, Jennifer (Randy) Poyorena, Jeremy (Christa), Joy-lene (André) Wiegand; grandchildren, Lance, Austin, Ruby, and Ché; five nephews and four nieces. She was preceded in death by parents, Dale & Floy “Dolly” Hanna; brother, William Hanna. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 24th, at Inverhills Church, 8265 Babcock Trail, IGH. Visitation with the family is from 2:30-4:00 PM prior to the service.

Rekow, Rose Marie (Nee Stromley)
Was called to her home in Heaven on April 18, 2016. Age 88
Rose was born in Carpenter, Iowa, on March 14, 1928, the daughter of Nettie and Carl Stromley. She was raised in a happy family with nine sisters and three brothers. Rose married Raymond Odean Rekow in 1946. They made their home in Northern Iowa until they moved to Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota in 1964. Rose is survived by her daughter, Leila Turner (husband Tim) of Kingston, Tennessee, by her sons, Franklin Rekow (wife Kathy) of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, and Paul Rekow (wife Patty) of River Falls, Wisconsin, and their children and grandchildren, by granddaughters, Jami Bunstine of Knoxville, Tennessee and Kris Scallon (Nick) of Eagan, Minnesota, and by grandsons John Rekow of Woodbury, Minnesota, and Tim Rekow (Natalie) of St. Paul, Minnesota. She is also survived by great grandchildren – Mallory and Abby Scallon of Eagan, Minnesota; Morgan, Tori and Anna Bunstine of Knoxville, Tennessee; Kendal and Mason Rekow of Woodbury, Minnesota; and Maria Rekow of St. Paul, Minnesota; by sisters, Loretta Hofland, Louise McPhail, Jane Rieman, Gladys Groth, Inez Hommez, Lillian Warrington, Betty Tollefson, Dianne Petznick, and sister-in-law, Ruth Rekow; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Odean Rekow, her parents, sister, Ruth Patterson, and brothers, Orville Stromley, Carl Stromley, Jr. and Kenneth Stromley. Rose was a long-time member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights. She loved her family, her church, country-western music and dancing. Visitation will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Avenue, Inver Grove Heights from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Funeral Services will be at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 70th and Babcock Trail, Inver Grove Heights, the following day, April 22, at 11:00 a.m. with interment in the church cemetery following the service.
