Passed Away on December 13, 2015. Age 61 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away at home with his wife, Patti at his side on December 13, 2015, after a yearlong battle with kidney cancer. Survived by, wife, Patti; daughters, Nicole Stettner & Rebecca (Troy) Kunshier; grandchildren, Haley, Alayna, Taber; son, Tony (Sara) Patrick; grandchildren, Owen & Charlie Jean. Memorial Service 11 AM Tuesday, January 12th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave. Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10-11 AM prior to the service.

 

Hoffman, Heidi B. (Nee Tritthaler)

Passed Away on December 12, 2015. Age 89 of South St. Paul

Preceded in death by mother, Barbara Tritthaler; husband, Gerhard Hoffmann. Survived by loving son, Mark (Cathy) Hoffmann; granddaughter, Posey. Heidi dedicated her life to helping others while working at MN Science Museum, St. John Vianney School and Cherokee St. Bank. She will be dearly missed. Memorial Service 1 PM Thursday, December 17th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave. Inver Grove Heights. Visitation one hour prior to the service., Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Labre Indian School, Blackfoot, MT.

 

Babcock, Wanda M.

Passed Away on December 8, 2015. Age 61 of Inver Grove Heights

Wanda took the journey to be with her Lord and Savior on December 8, 2015. Wanda is preceded in death by husband, Robert E. Babcock and parents, Ed and Nora Mewes; sister, Dorothy (Roger) McGinty. She is survived by her son, William E. Babcock (Lynda) and daughter B.J. Kranz (Bill), and the lights of her life—her grandchildren: Courtney (Andy) Steitz, Claire and Robert Kranz; Lauren Babcock (friend, Matt Heiler) and Alex Babcock; friends, Vee Morrow, Priscilla Gillan & Patty Smith. A celebration of Wanda’s life and entrance to her heavenly home will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 12th, at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Avenue, Inver Grove Heights. Private interment at Fort Snelling Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Good Shepard Lutheran Church’s Building Fund.

 

Moberg, Myron M. “Mike”

Passed Away on December 7, 2015. Age 83 of St. Paul

Mike the Barber, Journeyed home on December 7, 2015. Preceded in death by son, Gerald. Survived by loving wife of 38 years, Valerie; children, Mike (Brenda), Karen (Buggs) & Kathleen (Chris); step-children, Tracy (Luis), Kim;proud grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Don, Bill & Darlene; also countless Westside customers. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 12th, with visitation 9-11 AM prior to the service at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave. Inver Grove Heights. Piermantier, Dolores A. (nee Raasch)

Passed Away on December 2, 2015. Age 86 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on December 2, 2015. Preceded in death by daughter, Lori Smith; parents, Alfred & Annette Raasch; brother, Daniel Raasch. Survived by children, Cheryl Tietz, Jeff Piermantier & Penny (Jim) Hafner; grandchildren, Jen, Amy, Kristi, Cory & Mandy; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald, Dennis & Bruce Raasch; sisters, Joyce (Bob) Mercado & Judy (Dwight) Willemssen; also many relatives & wonderful friends. Dolores was born in Waite Park, MN on June 15, 1929.  She was baptized in St Cloud, MN. and confirmed and married at St Marks Lutheran Church in St Paul.  She was a graduate of Monroe High School in 1947 and worked for Economics Laboratory, Cenex and St. Paul Companies. When she moved to IGH with her family, she found her church home at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was involved in many actives which included the Monroe High School Ladies Luncheons, the IGH Senior Clubs & Choir and was the past queen mum of the Red Hat-Scarlett O’Hatters. Funeral Service 12 Noon Monday, Dec. 7th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10 am-12 Noon prior to service. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorials preferred. Special thank you to the staff at IGH Good Samaritan Society for their loving care.

Passed Away on December 1, 2015.  Age 80 of Inver Grove Heights

Preceded in death by wife, Marlene; parents, Clyde & Helen; brothers, James & David. Survived by daughters, Julie (Don) Cekalla & Amy Sylvester (Cale Hemmingson); grandchildren, Brittany & Nick; brothers, Dean (Pat) & Gary (Sonia); special friends, the McAleese family; also friends & relatives. Locke, Peter Michael

Passed Away on November 30, 2015. Age 82 of South St. Paul, MN

A Lifelong South St. Paul Packer

Pete passed away peacefully on November 30th, surrounded by family. Born in South St. Paul to immigrant parents, Milovan & Anna Tabakovich. Pete lost his mother at the age of two and thankfully was welcomed into the family of his older sister and husband, Mary and Michael Locke. Pete loved all sports. During his high school years at South St. Paul, he played varsity basketball, baseball and football and received seven letters. In 2013 he was inducted into South St. Paul Athletic Hall of Fame. Upon graduation in 1951, Pete enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Catfish Submarine during the Korean War. During a leave from the Navy, Pete met Augsburg College student, Jeanette Olson, on the beach of Lake Nokomis. It was love at first sight. After his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1956, Pete went on to Augsburg College to get his Physical Education degree, play baseball, and to marry Jeanette in 1957. They lived a very full life. Pete and Jeanette had three daughters, Kirsten, Karin and Jana. Following a brief time teaching in Springfield, MN, Pete went back to his alma mater of South St. Paul in 1963 to teach and coach. He coached baseball, football, soccer, golf (boys & girls) and basketball. He was the head basketball coach for 15 years. Pete also enjoyed his 20 years as the “Voice of the Packers” and teaching Driver’s Ed to his many students. He retired in 1992. One of Pete’s biggest accomplishments, besides surviving numerous heart and back surgeries, was his eight holes-in-one. He was an excellent golfer, a Southview Country Club ‘Club Champion’, South St. Paul Open Champion and the champion of many more. Faith was an integral part of Pete’s life, as he and Jeanette were founding members of Luther Memorial Church. He trusted in the Lord, and humbly lived a true servant’s life. Greeting Pete in heaven are his parents, Mike, Mary, Milovan & Anna; sister, Honey Jannetto; brother, Mike Locke; brothers in-law, Bob Reynolds & John Jannetto; in-laws, Rev. Iver & Myrtle Olson and many friends. Grieving his presence are his wife, Jeanette; his children, Kirsten & Bryon Kruzel; Karin & Phil Housley and Jana Smith; grandchildren, Karin (Ryan Swainey), Brynna, Leah, Taylor (Jeremy Pass), Reide, Wilson, Avery, Austin, Alaine & Ahren; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Alayna, Andrew, Iver, Ardith and Louis; sisters, Dolly (Don) Goral and Susan Reynolds; many nieces, nephews and great friends. Schintz, Nancy T.

Passed Away on November 26, 2015. Age 76 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away surrounded by family on November 26, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Roy & Mary DeMuth; son, Timothy; sister, Marlene Creamer; brother-in-law, Paul Schintz. Survived by loving husband of 58 years, Richard. Son, James (Kelley); daughters, Mary (Michael) Lacey, Sherry Scherer, Terry (joe) Burger; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann (Don) Jolly; sister-in-law, Judy Schintz; nieces & nephews. Nancy was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #424. She worked over 25 years for Red Owl. Memorial Service 11 AM Monday, November 30th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave., Inver Grove Heights, MN. Visitation 9-11 AM prior to the service. Grieger, Wilton R.

Passed Away on November 25, 2015. Age 82 of Inver Grove Heights

Wilton was born February 28, 1934 in Blue Earth County to Reinhard and Florence (Altenburg) Greiger. He attended school in rural Blue Earth County until 1950 when the family moved to Arlington, MN. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1952. He worked for Mid-American Dairyman. On October 17, 1954 he married Helen Matthes. They lived in Winthrop until 1971 then moved to Inver Grove Heights where he worked for various trucking companies. They were blessed with three children. Helen passed away in April of 1998. Wilton married Julie Klatt on May 19, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church in South St. Paul. They resided at Gramercy Park in Inver Grove Heights. After retirement Wilton worked part-time at Menards. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, playing cards and reading newspapers. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Helen; grandchildren, Brittany & Dustin; 2 sisters-in-law, Laverne Greenough & Delilah Kintzi. Survived by wife, Julie; children, Terry (Floyd) Brown, Kim, Todd (Julie); step-children, Jeff (friend, Deb) & Dan (friend, Barb) Olson; grandchildren, Tiffany (Art) Pineda, Brandi (fiancé, Malloy) Brown, Mike (Carly) Grieger, Dan (Emily) Grieger, Matt Grieger, Cory Grieger; step-grandchildren, Suzanne Olson, Amanda (Jeff) Arndt; great-grandson, Logan Pineda; step-great-granddaughters, Julia & Addison Arndt; friend of the family, Cindy (friend, Doug) Olson; also other relatives & friends. Schlussler, Gregory Allen

Passed Away on November 25, 2015. Age 57 of Inver Grove Heights

Gregory A. Schlussler was born on August 5, 1958, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the son of Leonard and Lois (Nagel nee Norton). Greg grew up in Inver Grove Heights and graduated from Henry Sibley Sr. High School in 1976. On October 13, 1984, Greg was united in marriage to Cynthia A. Redner at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. They remained and called Inver Grove Heights home. During his working career Greg was a highly sought after automotive service manager changing dealerships several times. Later in his career, he settled for a less stressful parts manager position at a large concrete pump manufacturer until he retired early due to health complications. Greg’s first love and passion was NASCAR racing. He loved to attend live events with close friends & family and rarely missed a broadcasted race. Greg also loved spectating and participating in any and all other motor sports such as snowmobiling, speedboats, monster truck shows, etc. If it had an internal combustion engine, Greg could build, trouble shoot, fix, and ride or drive it. His legacy to all who knew him was to ‘Make safety your first concern’. Greg passed away prematurely on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 following a lengthy battle with failing health at the age of 57 years. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lois; brother, Terry and mother-in-law, Marlene Redner. Greg is survived by loving wife of 31 years, Cynthia; siblings, Thomas (Debra), Vicki (Bill) Stoffel, Karen (Jeff) Pietruszewski, Richard and Julie (Lenny) Lemanski; father-in-law, Richard Redner; sister-in-law, Jan Schlussler, brothers-in-law, Mark (Jackie Ullman) Redner and Scott (Demetra) Redner; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
