Miller, Adela Marie “Adel”

Beloved Mom and Grandma

Passed away peacefully, at age 81. Preceded in death by husband, Ted; parents, Ernest & Lydia Schindeldecker; sister-in-law, Suzanne Miller. Survived by sons, Mark (Margaret) & Brad (Robin); grandchildren, Moriah, Ethan, Abigail & Madelyn; brother, Ken (Ardis) Schindeldecker; brothers-in-law, Tom (Karen) Miller & Jack Miller; sister-in-law, Jean (Scott) Butenhoff; also many nieces & nephews.

Memorial Service 11 am Friday, May 19th, with a visitation one-hour prior at Grace Lutheran Church, 149 8th Ave. So., South St. Paul, MN. Interment General Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial preferred to Grace Lutheran Church.

Bidon, Benjamin

It is with heavy hearts that we share information on the upcoming funeral arrangements for Inver Grove Heights Police Officer Ben Bidon.

Visitation services will take place on Sunday, May 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hometown Church, located at 16165 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville, MN 55044.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8 at noon at Cedar Valley Church, located at 8600 Bloomington Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55425, followed by burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, located at 7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450.

The visitation, funeral and burial services will be open to the public. Please join us in honoring Officer Bidon.

Passed away peacefully on April 12th. Retired from 3M. Preceded in death by loving husband, Donald; parents, Edward & Vera; sisters, Diane & Donna; brother, Edward. Survived by sister, Joanne; brothers, James & John; many nieces, nephews & friends.

Memorial Service 11am Friday, May 19th, St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 2035 Charlton Rd, Sunfish Lake with visitation 10-11am prior to service. Private interment Fort Snelling.

Age 77 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away peacefully April 27, 2023. Preceded by parents, Chester & Clara Shafer; grandson, Timothy Autey; first husband Jim Couillard; stepson, Frank Couillard. Survived by loving husband, Gary; children, Jim (Kim), Dawn (Ted) Autey, Chris (Shannon); 9 grandchildren, Jaymie, Alex, Daryian, Caitlin, Bruce, Jessica, Brandon, Evelyn, Ryan; 2 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ryan; sister, Beverly; also nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Donna loved singing in the church choir, doting on her grandchildren, and crafting until her final health challenge.

Celebration of her life 11am Saturday, May 13, 2023, with Visitation 9-11am prior to the service at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 2855 47th St E, Inver Grove Heights.

Burbank, Patricia “Pat”

Age 74 of West St. Paul

Passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2023. Preceded in death by husband, John; sister, Sandi; parents, Dick & Helen Acker. Survived by daughters, Michelle (Josh) Apman, Deanna Burbank; sister, Peggy Acker; nephew, Rick Heuer; adored grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Ashley, Mariah, Drew; great-grandchildren, Savanna, Mia, Ridley & Xander; special friends, Jason (LeAnne) Krech; also aunts, many cousins & friends.

Pat was a Humboldt High School graduate, class of ’66.  She grew up on the west side of St. Paul where she met her husband, John, and together they founded and operated Angelo’s Pizza for over 55 years.

Pat was a beloved and lifelong member at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. A special thanks to Dr. Huynh, and the third floor nursing staff at Woodwinds Hospital, Alex at MHealth Heart Clinic and the ladies at St. George’s Church.

Visitation 4-8 pm Paschal Trisagion at 7pm, Sunday, May 7th at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Funeral Service 11 am Monday, May 8th, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1250 Oakdale Ave., West St. Paul.

Piette, Scott Daniel

Age 59

Born April 28,1963, and passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 59. Born in St. Paul, Scott served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1987. His service began as an Airborne Infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division, and culminated with serving in the Berlin Brigade in West Berlin.  He is survived by siblings: Mike (Darlene), Craig (Beth), Brenda, James (Misti), Lisa, Kathy (Dan), Kari (Jared), and 22 nieces/nephews.

Visitation: May 14, 10-11am. Service: 11am, Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights. Interment: May 16, 10am, Fort Snelling.

Olson, Steven Ellery

Age 80 of Shakopee

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Hennepin County Medical Center. He was born December 27, 1942 to Sidney and Evelyn Olson in Kiester, MN. After graduating from Kiester High School, he enlisted in the Navy and completed 8 years of service and an additional 20 years in the Navy Reserves. Upon graduating from Mankato State with a degree in Mathematics and Physics, he worked for Lockheed Martin in Eagan as a technical instructor for FAA systems. He received his MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking, bird watching, yearly vacations with the family and nature walks.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Olson, his parents, his in-laws, Ivan and Evelyn Sansgard, and brothers: Rodney and Royal Olson. Survived by daughters, Michele (Ted) Schnaare & Mindie (Nathan) Schussler; grandchildren: Mikaela (Matt) Vollmar, Matthew (Maddie) Schnaare, Augustus, Griffin and Wyatt Schussler; great-grandson, Declan Vollmar; siblings: Lowell (Laurie) Olson, Michael (Cyndy) Olson, Lola Johnson; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Saign, Melvin C.

Age 95 of South St. Paul

Passed away April 21, 2023. Mel always had a smile and humor for everyone he met. Loving husband, beloved father, and devout Catholic, he loved horses, golf, people, reading Western novels, and above all his family. Survived by wife, Mary Ann Saign (McEllistrem); son, Geoffrey; daughters, Connie, Kathy, Karin Vaske (Jim), and Jennifer Davis (Kevin). Eldest son, Craig (Jeannie) passed away earlier this year. Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 749 6th Ave. S., South St. Paul, on Thursday, April 27th, at 11a.m. Private burial will follow.

Age 83

Robert passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023, surrounded by family. Survived by the love of his life, Georganna; son, Troy Gillenwater; daughter, Sonia (Gary) Anderson; grandchildren, Troy Gillenwater, Nicole Monahan, Jacob and Noah Anderson; great grandchildren, Carter and Hailee Monahan; sister, Ruth Rechtzigel; also other family and friends. Memorial Service 11 AM Monday, May 1st, at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 7070 Bovey Ave. E., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10–11 am prior to the service at church.

Age 95 of South St. Paul.

Passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Martin & Olive; 3 sisters; 4 brothers. Survived by loving daughter, Kim; grandchildren, Brad, Kelly (Nate) & Nick; great-grandchildren, Gage, Emma and Lydia; brother, Ken; sisters-in-law, Janet & Camille Erickson; also many nieces, nephews & friends. Arlene loved to dance, take family photos and movies, she was an excellent seamstress, cake decorator, and cosmetologist.
