Skelley, Anthony John
Anthony John Skelley, son of Leah Burlingame and the late John Skelley, was a beautiful soul and charming spirit born into this world on May 3, 2005 in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Through an incomprehensible tragedy, he lost his life on May 8, 2022 in South Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Anthony was seventeen and a junior at Gateway to College, a St. Paul Public Schools’ program at St. Paul College that allows high school students to also earn college credits. He had an incredible passion for life and spent his time connecting with family and friends. His friends describe him as loyal, genuine, special, determined, confident, brilliant, and loving. Anthony was an ambitious young man and had big plans for his life. He loved to work on cars, mow lawns and landscape during the summer, and could fix or install just about anything. His dream was to start his own business and he began to focus his efforts in areas he was skilled – landscaping and car repair and sales.
Anthony always knew when someone needed a hug. He had compassion for those who were hurting. This is because he had suffered pain from a young age when he tragically lost his father. The thing that stands out the most is how deeply he cared for his Mom, Leah. From the age of six, Anthony took on the role as man of the house. He looked after his older sister, Andraya, and his Mom with attentiveness, kindness, and the maturity of a grown man. He took on this role proudly.
Anthony is survived by his mother Leah Burlingame; sister Andraya Skelley; grandmother Shelley Burlingame; grandfathers James Burlingame and Joseph Skelley Jr.; aunts and uncles Kylee Krautkremer (Justin), Aaron Burlingame (Amy), Gerald “Kip” Overbo Jr (Francine), Patricia Overbo (Tony), Michael Overbo, DeAva Overbo (Phil), Thomas Skelley (Gina), and Daniel Skelley; many cousins; godmother Mindy Mueller; and a host of devoted friends and extended family that loved him deeply.
Anthony was predeceased by his father, John Skelley, and his grandmother, Laurie Skelley.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 1 PM at Roberts Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 8108 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights. Pastor Terry Francis from MN Adult & Teen Challenge will officiate. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial Service from 2:30 PM to 4 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, with a Memorial Service at DeGidio’s in St. Paul starting at 5 PM.
Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at Roberts Funeral and Cremation Chapel or online through the GoFundMe fundraiser created to help support Anthony’s mother, Leah Burlingame.

Stephan, Donald Edward
Donald Edward Stephan was a larger-than-life person of which there are plenty of stories to be told. To some, he was the charming presence that could make your dreams come true. To others, he was the energy in the room moving the present into the future. To us – his family – he was a man that tried his best to be a husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
He was born in Piqua, Ohio on May 3rd, 1936 to Edward and Mary Stephan. The oldest of four, his natural ability to lead was apparent to his siblings – Walt, Kathy, and Stephanie, who always had a story to tell about their older brother. He would go on to marry his high school sweetheart, Donna, have three beautiful children – Steve, Scott, and Angela – and move them to the great state of Minnesota. He knew what he wanted and went after it. His job was in sales where he worked for Mosler Safe Co., among other companies, and even won the 1968 Pinnacle Award for his hard work, but his true talent was in people. Years later, he married an accounting associate, Sandra, and would later have two more beautiful children – Casii and Donald E.W. This would then go on to complete the confusing (to others, not us), yet ever-loving, Stephan clan in Minnesota.

Terhaar, Gregory “Greg” Mark
Age 66 of Tacoma, Washington
Passed away from a stroke on April 27th, 2022. He passed peacefully with his longtime partner and spouse, Kilai Carpenter at his side.
Greg was born on February 6, 1956 in St Paul, Minnesota to Jerry and Lois Terhaar. He was also a 1974 graduate of South St Paul High School.
At school, Greg was known for his smile and laughter, along with his adventurous nature. He was endearingly known as “Egghead” to his friends and once spent a few moments hanging upside down over the lunchroom commons wall with those “good friends” having a firm hold of his ankles. He also once scaled the top of a neighborhood water tower, much to the dismay and angst of his mother and father (did he know we knew about it?). He was on the wrestling and chess teams and a yearbook staff member. His real passion, however, was collectables such as rare coins, precious alabaster statues and in later years, vintage Matchbox cars and action figures.
Shortly after graduation, he joined the Navy and travelled all over the Pacific as the ship’s night baker and chef. When stateside, he was stationed primarily in San Diego, California and Bremerton, WA. He and Kilai made their home in Seattle and then, upon retirement, Tacoma, Washington, along with their two dogs and cat.
Greg is preceded in death by his mother, Lois Lafavor Terhaar, and father, Jerome Henry Terhaar. Greg is survived by his partner and spouse of 32 years, Kilai Carpenter, his sisters Jeanne (David) Larson, Patty (Mark) Rosvold); nephew, Don (Jennifer) Lennartson along with their family Zackery and Zoey; nephew Patrick (Megan) Rosvold; and niece Cathryn Rosvold.
The memories we have are what we will always cherish and hold in our hearts as we say goodbye to Greg. We are thankful to all of you that have shared a hug, a memory or offered support to us over these years with him–all of which we want to extend our most sincere thanks.
A private, military burial will be held in Washington State in the coming months. Any cards or memorials may be sent to Pat (Terhaar) Rosvold and will be forwarded to Kilai to help with funeral expenses. Email Pat if you need her address: prosvold058@gmail.com
