Davis, Berit Margareta (nee Rydberg)

Age 81 of Eagan, MN passed away peacefully on February 5, 2021.  She was born on January 4, 1940 in Södertälje, Sweden to Gösta (John) and Helene Rydberg. Preceded in death by husband, Eldon Davis and son, Steven Davis.  Survived by sons Richard (Mary) Davis, Paul (Jolie) Davis and daughter Sharon (Dennis) Karels, sister Ylva Leeseberg, grandchildren Joseph (Theresa) Davis, Jamie (Robert) Willford, Jessica Falk, Helene Falk, Jeremy Davis, Garret (Maureen) Karels, and Brittany (Adam Farmer) Karels, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

Berit graduated from Vocational High School in 1957.  She was a longtime resident and business owner in Minneapolis, MN.  She loved traveling, Christmas, catalog shopping and game days with her family.

 

Funeral will be Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home in Inver Grove Heights, MN, visitation one hour prior.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Lucey, Jerry J.

Age 87 of Inver Grove Heights,

Passed away peacefully on February 2, 2021.

Preceded in death by Daughter, Lori Stafki, Brother, Don and Sister, Mary Tokarz.

Survived by Wife, Pat. Children, Mike (Kaye), Kathy (Steve) Drobac, Tom (Mary), Jim (Cindy); Son-in-law, Tim Stafki; 8 Grandchildren; 6 Great-grandchildren; Sister, Miriam Martin; Sisters-in-law, Rose Powers & Marilyn Klopp and many nieces and nephews. Jerry enjoyed traveling, bowling, and spending time with family and friends. Thank you to the caregivers at Accent Hospice and Our Lady of Peace.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 at The Church of Saint Patrick, 3535 E 72nd Street, IGH. The church will provide socially distanced seating for Covid regulations. Masks are required. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Goetz, Thomas A.

Age 83

Passed away January 30, 2021. Born in Eau Claire, WI, April 6, 1937. Survived by wife Bonnie; daughter, Connie; sons, Keith, David and Brian; step-daughters, Cathy and Tricia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A Mason 50+ years at Mizpah 191 in Saint Paul & Scottish Rite. One of his proudest accomplishments was the Creation of Tom’s Popcorn Shop in S Mpls. Tom loved well and was well loved. Private family service at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in S Mpls 2/8/21.  Memorials to Community Meals at Mount Olivet Lutheran.

 

Christianson, Anita Lois

Age 90, of Inver Grove Heights MN

Died peacefully January 25, 2021. Born February 21, 1930 in Whitehall WI. Preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Warren Christianson; brother, Alan Stuve; sister, Audrey Bautch; daughter, Eve Christianson. A loving mother and homemaker Anita was a gentle soul who enjoyed gardening, reading, cross word puzzles and bird watching. Anita is survived by her children, Andrea Christianson, Brian Christianson, Signe Christianson and two granddaughters, Angela (Clayton) McCann of Aurora CO and Amy Christianson (Ryan McDaniel) of Ellsworth WI. A private burial will be held late spring. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances would be appreciated to Our Lady of Peace, 2076 St. Anthony Ave, St. Paul MN 55104. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the staff at Our Lady Peace hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to Anita.

 

Oseth, Donald L.

Age 88 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 28, 2021. Preceded in death by son, Timothy, & grandson, Jordan. Survived by loving wife, Laurel; daughters, Jyll & Kirstin; 5 grandchildren, Arika, Stephan, Jonathan, Jacob & Josiah. Don grew up in Caledonia, MN. He graduated from the University of MN in Engineering & had a long career at 3M. He was a student of the Bible and enjoyed playing golf & tennis. A Private family service will be held. Gillen, Dennis D.

Age 89 of South St. Paul

Passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021. Survived by wife Priscilla; children, Ken (Barb), Karen Chermak, Kathy (Dan) Wunrow & Kevin (Julie); 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister Darlene (John) Walkosz. Dennis served in the US Air Force and retired after 30 years with the Ford Motor Plant in St. Paul. At an early age Dennis gave his life to Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully. The Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 4th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 9:00-10:00 am prior to the service. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Krech, Walter

September 19, 1953 – January 26, 2021

Born to Orville and Dorothy. Gone to Heaven before Wally, parents,  Orville and Dorothy; daughter, Katie Ann Krech; grandson, Dominic Alan Krech. Ochs, Robert

December 14, 1930 – January 19, 2021

Bob loved and was loved in return by everyone he touched during his long and meaningful life journey. He owned and was president of Ochs Agency. He enjoyed time with his family, played Jazz, and golfed. Bob had many dear friends in the communities he lived, and considered them family. He was always generous to share his knowledge and values with those around him. Bob changed many lives and left them eternally grateful for the time they had with him. His life will be remembered well, and missed by all. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucille I. Ochs. Survived by beloved wife, Barbara L Ochs; 11 Children, Harry (Karen) Ochs, Christine (Chuck) Frank, Gregory (Renee’) Ochs, Dave (Pam) Ochs, Ella (Brian) Taylor, Bill (Maureen) Ochs, Michael Ochs (Dovenia Harris), John (Tammy) Ochs, Lisa Ochs, Tom Ochs, and Lynn (David) Keffer; along with 17 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2021.

 

 

Lanahan, Willard Francis (Bill)

Of Inver Grove Heights.

Born June 19th, 1943 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Passed Away Peacefully Jan 22nd, 2021 at age of 77 after 2nd bought of cancer

Willard graduated from Simley High School and spent the greater portion of his life living between Inver Grove Heights and South St. Paul MN.

He worked as a civil engineer/draftsman for the City of St. Paul, then as a businessman and VP at Sibley Co. Catalog showrooms in St. Paul and Richfield, where he also did catalog design, layout and advertising. He also spent time as a volunteer member of SCORE for the Small Business Administration.

He was an intelligent sharp thinker and conversationalist with a great sense of humor

In his years past he enjoyed swimming, archery, cool cars, woodworking and bowling. His later interests were following the business news and the stock market.

Survived by children and (spouses) Patrick Lanahan, Kelly Lanahan, Shawn Lanahan, Shelly Meistad, Kerry (Scott) Bongers; his grandchildren, Amanda, Sara, Samantha, Sabrina, Kaydee, Kristy, Nicholas, Neal, Alison, Megan, Kylie; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerald and Benjamin; sister, Carol; former wife, Susan McArdle; friend, Donna Medina.

Willard is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Francis (Marjorie) Lanahan and Claryce Lanahan; baby brother; sisters, Marie Morrison, Dianne Lanahan, Dorothy Most; his dear aunt, Florence Dumont.

Special thanks to Hospice and care staff at Gondola Assisted Living of Inver Grove Heights. He will be greatly missed. A private family service will be held at Acacia Park Cemetery, Mendota Heights.

Ingebretson, Susanna “Sue”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Susanna on Sunday, January 17, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Oscar Fossum; three brothers; two sisters; and her son, Matthew. Susanna is survived by her children, Steven, Susan (Michael) Zeches, Ron (Tammy) Ingebretson and Sandra (Steve) Davidson; grandchildren Christina Tocholke (Randell), Aaron Zeches, Ashlee Zeches (Tyler Pumper), Abby Davidson and Ethan Davidson; great-grandsons Jaden Tocholke and Brantley Pumper. Sue worked as a legal secretary at Cenex/Land O Lakes. Memorial Service 11 am with visitation from 10-11 am Saturday, January 30 at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Private Interment.

Susanna “Sue” was a warm and caring person. She was born June 25, 1929 in Belview, MN. She attended business school in Minneapolis and after moving around the country, she spent the past 52 years in Inver Grove Heights. Sue volunteered for many years at Clothes Closet, part of Neighbor’s, Inc. in South Saint Paul and earlier at a care center in South Saint Paul. She was a wonderful mom and loving grandma & great-grandma. We will miss you Mom.
