Age 91.
Born August 15, 1933. Left this earth December 8th, 2024. She was loved by many. Beloved sister, mother, grandma, great-grandma, aunt & friend.
Wilma is preceded in death by parents, Maynard & Mary Heffern; brothers, Marvin, Robert & Randall; children, Roxine & Robin; granddaughter, Sarah.
Survived by brother, Herb (Beverly) Heffern, children, Rick (Julie) Rieken, Rolly Rieken, Renea Kidd, Rachelle (Juan) Contreras & Reggie (Terri) Rieken; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and her Southside Baptist Church family where she spent many years.
Funeral Service 11:00 am Saturday, December 21st, at Southside Baptist Church 5613 S. Robert Trail, Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service at church. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery, Mendota Heights.
Thomas Harold Bement
Age 88 of South St. Paul
Passed away on December 5, 2024. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Jane; step son-in-law, Leonard Werner. Survived by brother, Patrick (Kim); sister, Candice (Dave) Bryant; step children, Nancy (Michael) Morris, Sandra Werner, Cheryl Werner; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; also other family and friends.
Tom loved to visit and spend time with his family and friends. His life was an inspiration we will carry with us.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Monday, December 16th, at Church of The Holy Trinity, 749 6th Avenue South, South St. Paul, MN 55075. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Interment St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials preferred to Smile Train.
Mae Eileen Walden
Passed away on December 3, 2024. Preceded in death by son, Mark; parents, John and Christina Fleck; sister, Vi Jordan. Survived by husband of 68 years, Franklin; sons, David (Laurel) and Jimmy (Connie); granddaughters, Breanna and Madison Walden; great granddaughter, Aria and one on the way; also many other family and friends.
Mae was a volunteer for many causes including Woodwinds Hospital for many years and was very active in her church community. Mae very much enjoyed being an usher at the Xcel Energy Center for events but most of all loved to usher for the Minnesota Wild games. Mae looked forward to the Minnesota State Fair every year since she was 4 years old, many years going every day. She loved sharing this tradition with her family along with many other treasured traditions.
Private family services are being held. Memorials preferred to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Inver Grove Heights.
Roxane M. DeLong
Age 68 of Inver Grove Heights
Passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024. Preceded in death by parents, Norbert & Aldine; brother, Tom. Survived by siblings, Ed (Lori), Barb (Pete) Braun, Tammy (Steve) Baker; sister-in-law, Wendy; 3 nieces; 8 nephews; 11 great-nephews; 9 great-nieces; also other relatives & friends.
Roxane really loved her nieces, nephews and special cat, Sissy.
Memorial Service 6:00 PM Monday, December 9th at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights with visitation 4:00-6:00 PM prior to the service. Private interment. Memorials preferred to the family.
David Robert Snyder
Age 84
Preceded in death by his brother, Wally Snyder; grandson, Hunter Aiden; parents, Bill and Bernie Snyder.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Clarene; children, Steven (Tara) and Margaret Mary Dodge (Larry); 7 grandchildren; and siblings, Rick (Joann), Alan (Kathy), Paul, Mary Jo Thormelon (Rick), Julie Ann Kienitz (Bob), Shirley (Wally) Snyder.

Shirley Rosalee Newell Draine
Age 92 of Inver Grove Heights
Passed away on November 27, 2024 at Lexington Pointe Senior Living in Eagan MN. She succumbed to cancer. Shirley was born on February 29,1932 in Schuyler County, Rushville, Illinois to Thomas J and Imogene (Johnson) Newell. She married Robert Eugene Draine on September 6, 1953. He passed away on February 9, 2014. Surviving are 2 children, Timothy E. (Cynthia) Draine, Susan Kay Draine (Jack) Skoog; grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Samilyn & Gracelyn Skoog, Stephanie Draine, Laurel (Scott) Stoneking; 4 great grandchildren; cousins, Rebecca Johnson (Don) Chinnici, K. Kent (Jan) Johnson.Shirley graduated from Rushville High school, class of 1950, Western Illinois University for 2 yrs, then Passavant School of nursing to receive her Registered Nurse degree, class of 1955.She is preceded in death by her parents, Uncle Kermit & Aunt Ruth Johnson and their daughter, Sharilyn Ritchie.Shirley loved her family, friends and being a part of LIFE!Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held Friday, December 6, 2:00 pm, Advent Methodist Church, 3945 Lexington Ave. So., Eagan, 55123 In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
Marvin J. Pederson
Age 73
Passed away on November 22, 2024.
Preceded in death by wife, Gina Pederson; father, Arnold Leroy Pederson; dogs, Peggy Sue, Tyler, Sasha Queen of Denmark.
Survived by children, Stefany (Brent), Tiffanie (Josh), Bradley (Casey), Jessica (Wade); grandchildren, Sophia, Riley, Rickie Tod, June, Warden Wayne; mother, Carole Frances Pederson; siblings, Cindi (Jim), Don (Phyliss), Al, Ed (Margaret), Carrie, Dan (Lisa); and many other family & friends.
Marvin loved taking adventures on his motorcycle, spending hours on his tractor and wood working in his shop. He enjoyed his Sundays with a hot cup of coffee waiting for NASCAR to begin and was known to be a motor head. Marv was a dedicated and hardworking employee at Peterbilt retiring after a fulfilling 34 years and recognized honorably for his service in the Air Force. He will be missed greatly by many.

Marilyn E. Locke (Lamphere)
Age 90 of South Saint Paul, MN
Marilyn left us unexpectedly on November 21, 2024. She now rests in the arms of Jesus.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Gary (Mary) Locke, Michelle (John) McCaughtry, Pauline (Ron) Oja, Andrea (Paul) Schacht, and Marie (Dan) Culhane. Her love and laughter will be forever in the memories of her grandchildren, Alex (Michelle) Locke, Andrew (Leslie Randall) Locke, Ben (Molly Harris) Locke, David (Tina) Timm, Robert (Alicia) McCaughtry, Sarah (Ben) Anderson, Mitchell (Michaela) Evenson, Daniel (Ashley) Schacht, Elizabeth Schacht, Katelyn Culhane, and Samuel Culhane. Her hugs and self-penned lullabies will be passed down to her great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Elena Locke, Lucy and Lucas Timm, Arianna and Aaron McCaughtry, Finley Anderson, Georgia, Wallace and Wendell Evenson, and Aubrey and Brody Schacht. She is survived by her close-knit sisters, Carol (Richard) Vasatka, Sharon (Larry, decd.2021) Joswiak, and Diane (Paul) Radintz, her sister-in-law, Susan (Bob, decd.1988) Reynolds, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her absence will be felt by her countless lifelong friends, bridge and tennis partners, fellow Holy Trinity parishioners, and her exceptionally kind neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Michael G. Locke (decd.2000); they were high school sweethearts who met shortly after Marilyn’s parents, Lyle (decd.2002) and Pauline (decd.2000) Lamphere, moved the family to South St. Paul in 1946.
Marilyn was a proud alumna of the South St. Paul High School Class of 1952 and the University of Minnesota Class of 1956. She was joyfully independent, extremely witty, astoundingly resourceful, and wonderfully reliable. IEDSMS WNO TUB VLEOD ORVFREE. She walked with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, every day and received her strength and willpower from Him until the very end.

Joel Peter Wolfe
Age 49,
Passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2024, in Sterling Township, Wisconsin. Born on January 31, 1975, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Joel was the beloved son of John and Judy Wolfe. He grew up with a passion for learning, eventually attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. During his time there, he met his loving wife, Marinda, whom he married in May 1998. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to their sons, Ryder and Thomas. Joel enjoyed a successful career in Technical Recruiting for over two decades, building meaningful friendships and connections. Two years ago, he returned to his roots in Education, embracing a role as a Special Education Teacher at Coon Rapids Middle School. This new path reignited his passion for helping others, and he was cherished by his students and colleagues. Joel was also enrolled in a Master’s of Education program at the University of St. Thomas, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to learning. Joel’s family and friends will forever remember him for his caring nature, his quiet strength, and his generous spirit. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding peace and joy in hunting, fishing, and golf—often saying that sitting in a tree stand was his favorite place on earth. Known for his humor, honesty, and loyalty, Joel left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He was a supportive husband, a dedicated father, a loving son and brother, and a true friend. Joel is survived by his wife, Marinda Wolfe; sons, Ryder and Thomas Wolfe; parents, John and Judy Wolfe; step father-in-law, Dale Holbrook; sister, Jean (Howard) Rigden, and nieces Elizabeth and Emily; brother-in-law, Scott Foster; nieces, Caitlin (Justin) King, with great-niece, Aubrey and great-nephew, Grayson; and Brittany (Billy) McMichael, with niece, Norah; sister-in-law, Stacy (Dave) Mason, and nieces, Molly and Lily; and sister-in-law, Nancy Foster, and nieces Ellinore and Alexis DeJong. Preceded in death by mother-in-law, Carol Holbrook; father-in-law, Thomas Foster. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held for family and friends at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights on Friday, November 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m with a time of sharing beginning at 11:30 am. A luncheon to follow at the Inver Grove Community Center from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Coon Rapids Middle School Special Education program, honoring Joel’s commitment to education and his students.
