Passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on March 22, 2019.
Preceded in death by mother Nora Gunderson (Stockness), father Conrad and brother Leland. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Lois, sons Jeff (Jan) and Jack, daughter Lori (Dan) and niece Nancee Gunderson (Bonnie), grandchildren Michael, Eric and Dan, great grandchildren Mason, James and Anders. Memorial service 10:30 am Thursday, March 28, at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1400 Robert Street, West St Paul. Visitation 9:30am prior to service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully on Friday March 1, 2019.
Preceded in death by mother, AnnaMarie Grabowski (nee Haag). Survived by father, Bob Grabowski; husband, Bud; children, Christie (Matthew) Frid, Josh (Nicole) & Chad; grandchildren, Henry, Owen & Libby Frid, Lorelei Brand; siblings, Mark, Marcia (Roger) Melde, Mike (Joyce) & Mickey (Gwen); also, many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Gastric cancer may have ended Marijo’s life, but it in no way defined it. Marijo had a nurturing spirit and if she was in the sand or sun she had a contented soul. She loved to travel- by air, ship, or car-all adventures were great. She enjoyed being outdoors playing bocce on land or snorkeling in the seas. She was a voracious reader and always had a book in hand. She appreciated fine dining and a glass of red wine. More than anything Marijo enjoyed the company of family and friends. She left her mark in our hearts and created a life she loved. A Celebration of Marijo’s Life will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 in recognition of what was to be her 64th birthday. This Celebration of Life will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Avenue, Inver Grove Heights with visitation from 4-5:30pm and remembrance from 5:30-6:00pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the American Red Cross (Marijo donated blood products for over 30 years), The American Cancer Society or your local library.
McLean, Scott D. “Chief”
Age 86, of Inver Grove Heights.
Passed away peacefully on March 17, 2019, surrounded by his beloved family. Preceded in death by wife, Dorothy (nee Griffin); parents, Ralph and Germaine; one brother; two sisters. Scott will be deeply missed by his children, Theresa (Thomas) Oltman, Catherine (Robert) McLain, William (Sandra), Walter (Deb), Daniel (Lisa), Mary (Bill) Sova, and Julia (Joe) Atkins; numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Patrick (Joann); dear friend, Carol Streif; many other family members. Scott’s humor, stories and conversations will be greatly missed by all. Scott retired from Radisson Hotels where he worked as an engineer. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, former Fire Chief of IGH, and member of VFW Post 295, American Legion Post 424, and Moose Lodge 1088. Hunziker, Douglas Harold
Age 71 of Inver Grove Heights
Passed away surrounded by his family March 14th due to his battle with Multiple Sclerosis and complications with his heart. He was born October 07, 1947 in Watertown to Harold and Louise Hunziker. He married Marcia in 1969 where they moved to the twin cities, started a family, and began his employment with White Bear Body for 13 years. He retired after 20+ years working for the US Postal Service. Doug loved his family vacations up north fishing, watching the Vikings, and spending time with his family. Survived by the loves of his life, Marcia; daughters, Dawn (John), Alicia (Bob), Amberly (Dave); grandchildren, Johnny, Olivia, Abby, Jake, Garrett, Grayson, Logan; great-grandson, Brayden; sisters, Laura, Harriet, and Faye (Jim); brother-in-law, Randy; also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Harold and Louise Hunziker; sister, Beverly Scharlau, in-laws, John and Lois Lievan; brother-in-law, Nicholas Berg; nephew, Tony Scharlau. A Celebration of Life Service is planned for 4 PM Sunday March 24th at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation from 2-4pm prior to the service. was lovingly embraced by his Lord and Savior, Jesus, on March 13, 2019, after a 2 1/2-year struggle with colon and liver cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Lester and Shirley Krech; in-laws, Bill and Clare Thul; sister in law, Terry Buche. Survived by his loving wife, Rose Ann of 19 1/2 years and dearly loved stepsons, Justin Schwingle (girlfriend, Casey); Jeremiah Schwingle (fiancé, Kasi and daughter Aleeah); dearly loved siblings, Jean Leitch, Wayne (Marlys), Rick (Mary); many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and dear friends. Passed away peacefully in her home of South St. Paul, MN, March 8th, 2019. Survived by her husband, Richard “Beaver”; children, Rhonda, Donald (Michelle), Douglas (Colleen), Roxanne (Bernie), Richelle (Scott), Daniel (Noel) and David (Rachael); 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many family and friends. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Don and Harley, son-in-law, Gregg; great grandson, Beau. Her family were her world and loved time spent at the cabin. In honor of celebrating her life a memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, March 18th, at Grace Lutheran Church, 155 8th Ave. So., South St. Paul. Visitation will start at 10:30 AM. Andel, Clarence Kenneth
Age 83 of Inver Grove Heights
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7th. Preceded in death by parents and many siblings. Survived by wife of 60 years, Mary; children, Brian (Ruth) Andel, Colleen (Mike) Phillips, Sheri (Brad) Eck, Kevin (Jessica) Andel; grandchildren, Jeff, Nicole (Andrew), Justin (Kirsten), Nathan, Joe (Melissa), Danielle (CJ), Jessica, Tony, Bri, Kevin Jr, Jason, Emma; great grandkids, Caleb, Hailey, Charlie, Lillian, Abel, Laona, Addie, Avery. Clarence was originally from Breckenridge, MN where he grew up and graduated from high school. In 1953 he joined the army and was a paratrooper in the 82ndAirborne. In 1966, he and Mary moved to the Twin Cities area where they made their home and raised their children. Clarence’s humor, stories and conversation will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Braun, Virginia Francis (NeeCox)
Age 74, of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 6, 2019. Virginia was born to Frank and Victoria (Blaziak) Cox on December 22, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and attended St. Anthony High School graduating in 1962. She married Maurice (Maury) Braun in 1966 and lived most of her married life in Inver Grove Heights. Virginia took great pride in her role as a homemaker, which included sewing her children’s clothes and teaching others the art of sewing. Besides raising her children, Virginia supported the family landscaping business for many years. With her children grown, Virginia began her employment with the State of Minnesota. Over a twenty-year period, she worked at both Normandale and Inver Hills Community Colleges and as a Purchaser for the Minnesota State Patrol. In addition to her husband of 53 years, Virginia is survived by her daughter, Christine Mattson and son-in law, Erik of Naperville, Illinois; son, Peter Braun of South St. Paul, Minnesota; daughter, Pamela Braun of Woodbury, Minnesota; son, Anthony Braun of Lakeville, Minnesota; and her loving grandchildren, Kimberly, Katie and Kyle Mattson of Naperville, Illinois. She is also survived by her brothers, James (Bonnie) Cox, Jerome Cox, and her sisters, Juliann Daniels, Marjorie (Roger) Danielski, Beverly Cox and Teresa Knothe. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Edward. Virginia was an avid reader, gardener, bargain shopper and crafter. Over the years she crafted a multitude of loomed rugs…many were awarded blue ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair. “Granni” loved planting her garden in spring and then picking fruits and vegetables with her grandchildren during the summer. Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 749 6th Avenue South, South St. Paul on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 10:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon. Survived by loving son, Craig (Anne Kunesh) and his father, Dennis Carney; grandchildren, Charles, Andrew, Kateri & William; brother, Timothy (Laurie) Blume; niece, Amber; nephew, Adam and their families; also other relatives and friends. Having grown up on a farm Carol loved the outdoors and was a lifelong gardener & crafter. Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, March 9th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Rosvold, Gladys (Brotzler)
Passed peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
She is survived by her husband, Don; her brother, George Brotzler and her children and their spouses, Keith (Lauri), Randy (Cyndy), Beth (Dennis) Schuster and Mark (Patty) Rosvold. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anita Brotzler; brothers, Harold (Bud), Lawrence (WW2) and sister, Helen (Brotzler.) Gladys was a graduate of South Saint Paul High School. She was a long-time employee of Burlington Northern Railroad, a member of St James Lutheran Church (WSP) and its Ladies Guild, a master gardener and a long-standing member of the South Saint Paul Rainbow Garden Club. Her love of life and devotion to her family will be missed by all. To us, she will be forever in the garden. There will be no public service.
