On Monday, June 1, 2020, Jean (Fischer) Bauman, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on her birthday at the age of 87.  Jean was an active member of St. Matthew’s parish working the funeral lunches for many years. She loved to travel with her husband, Glenn Bauman (deceased 2019) in their motor home and see the country. Jean worked at Armour Foods for many years. Jean is survived by her sons, Bryan (Buzz), Bruce, and her daughter, Ginger Vance, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.  Jean lived in Inver Grove Heights for more than 50 years. Jean will be remembered for her willingness to take in those who needed a place to live during a difficult time and always being willing to set another place at the table to feed our friends and family. The funeral will be at St. Gabriel’s (St. John’s Campus) at 6 Interlachen in Hopkins at 10 am (Masks are required please) followed immediately by the burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

Age 81 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away on May 29, 2020. Richard was a great father, loving husband and loyal friend.  He was a jack of all trades, master of many and perfectionist to a fault (which really got on our nerves at times).  He was a car enthusiast, life time member of MN Street Rod Association.  He was a proud pipefitter, working at the American Hoist for 10 years and retiring from 3M after 30 years.  During retirement he continued to enjoy classic cars, admiring his Harley Davidson he never rode, took a passion in model trains, restored vintage gas pumps and enjoyed weekly gatherings with his coffee group.  Preceded in death by wife, Carol Ann. Survived by wife, Katherine, dog; Bobby-Bear; daughter, Jenine; son, Jim (Kristi); grandson, Lukas; step-sons, Keith & Kevin Vanderhyde; sisters, Shirley (James) Schacher & Marilyn Gibson; also other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 AM-12 Noon Thursday, June 4^th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Those attending, please be mindful of COVID-limitations.  A private funeral service for family will be held later. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to donor’s charity or foundation of choice or American Cancer Society.

Age 97

Passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 24, 2020. Lorraine was a wonderful homemaker and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Her family and her faith meant everything to her. Lorraine often mentioned that some of her happiest days were her high school years at St. Joseph’s Academy and she later became involved in the school’s Alumnae Association. She was also very active in the Altar and Rosary Society at Holy Spirit parish, contributed many hours to craft and bake sales and was a regular donor to the food shelf. Lorraine was an excellent cook and baker as well as a talented artist. Her watercolor paintings decorated her room at Episcopal Church Home (ECH) where she resided for the last 9+ years. Many of her paintings were displayed in one of the hallways there. The staff at ECH took loving care of Lorraine, especially in her final days. The family extends to them our heartfelt thanks. We are also deeply grateful to everyone at Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel for all their support and help. Lorraine was preceded in death by Dick, her loving husband of 66 years. She is survived by daughter, Cathy Eddleston (Dave), son Rick (Sue), son Jim (Rachel) and 6 grandchildren, David, Greg, Matt, Claire, Jake and Anni and 2 great-grandchildren, Hayden and Sienna. Lorraine will remain forever in our hearts and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her. A private service for immediate family will be held on Friday, May 29^th, and a Celebration of Lorraine’s Life will be scheduled at a later date. Age 88, of Inver Grove Heights,

Died peacefully on Monday May 18, 2020, at the Brookdale Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care in Eagan.  A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 3400 Century Ave N, Saint Paul, MN 55110, on Friday May 29 at 11:00 am. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Ron is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorla (Paulsen).  His three daughters, Pam (Dan) Briese of Mankato, Dawn (Kerry) Meyer of Inver Grove Heights, and Kim Garza of Eagan.  His grandchildren, Heidi (John) Bruckhoff, Valerie (Aaron) Meier, Emily Ball, Hannah Garza, Rachel Garza, and Sam Garza; his great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Rylan, Kennedy, Addison, and Mason; siblings, Jean Owens, Susan Nasseff, and Stephen Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lucille Porter and grandson, Benjamin Garza.  He retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad after 42 years but continued to work for the University of Minnesota Gopher Sports until all events were cancelled due to COVID-19.  His most prized possession was his family.

In Salisbury, England. Met the love of her life, Donald Lawrence when he was stationed there during WWII. They Married in 1946. Preceded in death by parents, Lucy & Archibald Fry; husband, Donald; sisters-in-law, Dorothy & Clarence Palmer, Fran & Harold Johnson, Barb & Mike Gardner & Jean & Wally Ekstrand. Survived by son, Steve (Dao) Lawrence; daughter, Linda Lawrence Paselk; grandchildren, Angela (Toby) Havelsrud, Ashley (Adam) Marthaler & Donald (Chelsey) Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Carter, Makenzie, Jack & Barret. A private interment will be held at Union Cemetery, Maplewood, MN and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Margaret was much loved and will be greatly missed by us all.

Age 80 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 11, 2020. Proceeded in death by loving husband Sylvester, parents, one brother, three sisters and one great grandchild. Survived by one son, David (Michelle), 3 daughters Margaret, Karen (Mike) Stanek and Nancy (Don); 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandma.  She will be deeply missed. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM Thursday, June 11^th, at the Church of St. Patrick, 3535 72^nd St., Inver Grove Heights. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
