Age 76, of Inver Grove Heights.
Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on September 5th, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents, Maximilian Jr. & Mary Sporer; sister, Margaret Zimmerman and niece, Heather Sporer. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan; son, Tony (Lindsay); daughter, Carrie (David Starkey); grandsons, Quinn, Rafe, and Max; brothers, Greg (Judy), Guy (Leah), and Jon (Lori) Sporer; and innumerable nieces and nephews. Max will be dearly missed by all.
Max adored his whole family, especially his grandsons, whom he lovingly referred to as “Grandpa’s Boys!” He was especially looking forward to welcoming all the wonderful people joining his daughter’s family. Max was always up for a good laugh, a ridiculous prank, or to just simply relax and watch a ball game. His antics were legendary, especially his intentional mispronunciations! We are grateful to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs for tremendously enhancing his quality of life for the last 15 years, and to Brighton Hospice for their support and for making it possible for him to remain at home in his final days.
