Lynda Maria Steltz (63) of Hastings, MN, formerly of South St. Paul, MN and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2022, from complications of MS, while surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 12, 1958, in Mankato, MN, the first child of Edward and Esther (Schweer) Steltz. Lynda was a 1977 graduate of South St. Paul High School. She graduated from Macalester College in 1981 with a degree in vocal performance and a minor in accounting.

Lynda enjoyed skiing the mountains of Utah and camping and hiking where she could. She traveled many places, including Germany, where she got to use her German that she learned for five years. She loved music and enjoyed playing piano as well as singing with her beautiful soprano voice.

In her later years, she enjoyed going to many plays, especially Jesus Christ Superstar, which she participated in a production of in her younger years. Watching movies with her always brought a smile to her face.

Lynda lived in Florida for many years and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1994.  Although over time, Lynda lost her mobility and voice, she lived with grace and perseverance that allowed her to see her children reach adulthood. They were her world.  Lynda had many caregivers including her parents, children, and siblings, long-term home PCAs, and the staff at Regina Senior Living to whom we are grateful.

Lynda is survived by her children Christopher Pellegrino (Kirsten Ward) and Julia Pellegrino, her brothers Jeffrey (Maureen) Steltz, and John Steltz (Liz Danner), along with her nephews Daniel, Peter, and Paul (Anjeanette) Steltz, great-nephew Phelan, and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29th at Roberts Funeral Home in Inver Grove Heights from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm. Memorials to the family are requested.
