Tix, Judy Kathleen

Judy was born in San Bernardino, CA but moved to St. Paul, MN at an early age and eventually graduated from Henry Sibley High School.  She attended some college at Bemidji State and went on to marry Bruce Tix.  Their adventures led them three days after the wedding to Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Hawaii.  They eventually came back to MN, with their beloved son Brad.  She was a devoted mother and enjoyed her time attending many school and sporting events.  She never got tired of cheering on her Mr. Super Terrific.  Aside from being a homemaker, she helped on PTA and other committees, as well as holding various jobs over the years.  Later on, grandchildren became a great source of joy to her.  She loved sharing traditions and making holidays special.

Judy was a strong fighter when it came to battling health challenges, and faced her days with perseverance and determination.  She twice overcame cancer and endured several surgeries in her final years, pushing forward to spend time with her loved ones, inspired by her faith in the Lord Jesus.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois; brothers, Chuck and Bill; and sister, Sharon. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bruce; father, Ben (Torrance, CA); son, Brad (Sara) and grandchildren Elaina, Aaron, and Kayla (St Louis Park, MN).

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 Noon Friday, Dec. 31st, with a visitation from 11am – 12 noon at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
