Darin displayed an artistic talent from a young age. After graduating from Armstrong High School, Darin attended the U of MN-Twin Cities and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. Shortly after graduation, he started Vogel Design, a Marketing and Design firm that he successfully led for over 30 years. Darin’s creative talent was always on display as he led marketing for clients like Hubert White, as well as in logos of many Twin Cities businesses like the Medina Country Club, Voyage Health Care and many more. Darin loved sports his whole life – as a talented athlete, supporting his kids’ sports, organizing the Hamel baseball program for many years. Most recently, Darin became an accomplished pickleball player, quickly progressing to a high level and looking to be a Senior Pro, coaching pickleball and starting yet another company “Peak Pickleball.” Darin’s winning smile, laughter and big heart will be greatly missed. You are forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, Darin.
A private family celebration of Darin’s life will take place in the future. Your kind thoughts and expressions of sympathy are deeply appreciated. For those who wish, a donation in memory of Darin to the Animal Humane Society (www.animalhumanesociety.org) would be a lovely tribute.
