Marion was born on February 26, 1938 in Hastings Minnesota, living there, moving to Nininger and then to Vadnais Heights.  She was a 1957 White Bear Lake High School graduate.

Marion met Conrad (aka Connie) Holzemer in June of 1957, got engaged in August of 1958 and married on June 13, 1959.  Life with kids included summer camping trips, coaching softball, playing softball and watching their boys in hockey and baseball.  They were both very involved in North St. Paul Athletic Association and North St. Paul Hockey booster club.  Connie and Marion were married for almost 29 years when Connie passed in March of 1988.

In August of 1988, Marion attended the first Holzemer Cousin reunion held in Amidon, North Dakota.  While there she became reacquainted with Harold (Red) Holzemer (Connie’s uncle).  Marion and Red were married on November 25, 1989 with Marion relocating to Littleton, Colorado.  They were both very involved with the Knights of Columbus, taking part in volunteer efforts (including as Daisy the Clown), and joining a mixed couples bowling league.  They were married until Red’s death in November of 2002.

Marion loved spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, staying up-to-date in their lives and playing games. She was a part of the Stonehaven Senior

Living Community and made many friendships there.  Her Catholic faith was very important to her.  She spent many Wednesdays with a group that would say the Rosary and receive communion.  She liked playing Farkle, Bingo and Rummikub and truly enjoyed the camaraderie of the ‘Friday Folgers on 4’.  We are so thankful to all her friends at Stonehaven.
