Gerten, Terrence Leonard “Terry”

Passed suddenly in his sleep on Saturday August 18^th, 2018, at age 69. Born January 18^th, 1949 to the late Leonard and Margaret Gerten. Terry was a proud lifelong resident of Inver Grove Heights. He enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers, golfing, puzzles, and gambling. Terry was loved by many for his kind smile and generous spirit. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sound advice, and one-liners. Terry’s legacy lives on through his children, whom he was so proud of; by his family; and in his local business. Survived by children Katie, Melissa (Brian) Goski, Tony, Krista Tessier (Justin), and Sarah Tessier (Marcus); Grandchildren Leo, Lucy, Abiel, Lindsey, Nick, Ashlyn, and Oscar; Siblings Kathy Tlougan, Mike (Terry), Jean (Mike) Rolow, Peg (Steve) Hill, Phil (JoAnne), Mark (Saony), Rose DeGuilo (Mark), Joe (Lisa), and Lori (Ed) DeLong; Mother of his children Paulette Gerten. He was Uncle “Butch” to many adored nieces and nephews and their children. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, August 24^th, at the Church of St. Patrick, 3535 72^nd St., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday, August 23^rd, at Roberts Funeral; Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Also 9-10 AM Prior to Mass at church.
