Age 68 of South St. Paul
Passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026 after challenging cancer without complaint.
Preceded in death by father, Bernard Koshenina; brothers, James, Mark and David Koshenina; sister-in-law, Shari Koshenina; niece, Krista Koshenina; nephew, Paul Koshenina.
Survived by mother, Elaine Koshenina; sisters, Dorothy (Brian) Nelsen and Joan (Glenn) Anderson; sister-in-law, Lynn Koshenina; many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Rita was a kind and gentle soul. Rita was raised in the catholic faith and attended Holy Trinity Catholic School through 8th grade and graduated from South St. Paul High School. She attended and loved every family event. Rita was active and involved with her card club friends for over 20 years and enjoyed trips to the casino. She loved cheering for Minnesota sports, including the Vikings, Twins and Wild. She loved visiting the north woods and spending time with family at the lake as well as traveling the United States and visiting new places. Rita will be missed dearly, more than words can say.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 15th, 2026 at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights, MN with a visitation 1-hour prior. Luncheon to follow. Private interment Webb Lake Cemetery, Webb Lake, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
