Bauman, Glenn W.

Glenn Bauman, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 88. Glenn was an active member of the West St. Paul Commercial Club, West St. Paul Businessmen’s Association and worked at Nobel’s and American Can as a tool and die maker until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean (Fischer); sons, Bryan (Buzz) & Bruce; daughter, Ginger Vance; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Glenn and Jean lived in Inver Grove Heights for more than 50 years. Glenn loved hunting in the fall, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends and many say he will be remembered for his humor and friendliness. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, September 24th, at the Church of St. Matthew, 490 Hall Ave., St. Paul. Visitation 4-7 PM Monday, Sept. 23rd, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Also 10-11 AM prior to Mass at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. Matthews Church.
Huebscher, Doris A. (Nee Wille)
Age 89, formerly of Inver Grove Heights and Frederic, WI
Passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Raymond and sister, Jeanette (Jan) Crandall. In her youth Doris was a 10-year member of the Salem 4-H club. She exhibited her prize lamb, Sugar Foot and ribbon-winning canning at the Dakota County Fair and MN State Fair. She loved to cook and as a very young girl learned to make homemade cornstarch pudding which she carried to her grandpa on the adjoining farm. Doris graduated from SSP High School in 1948 and then worked at Farmers Union where she met some of her dearest lifelong friends. She was swept off her feet by a handsome, hardworking young man she met at a dance. They were soon married, and that man with the twinkling eyes kept her dancing for 65 years. They were charter members of Concordia Lutheran Church, SSP where they volunteered in multiple capacities to serve their faith community. She was a gracious hostess who is remembered for her ‘good cooking’ by family and friends. During retirement Doris and her husband relocated to Frederic, WI where they resided on a small hobby farm. They could be found at the local farmer’s market providing fresh vegetables and fruits to the area residents. She kept herself busy as church treasurer, family correspondent, grandmother figure to the neighboring children and cooking up a storm for gatherings of family and friends. Doris was the family historian who could remember every date, every name, and every event. She clipped and mailed memorabilia to friends and family and enjoyed re-reading greeting cards. She was a strong, industrious, intelligent woman with the resiliency and tenacity to persist through life events. She was determined and courageous, and remembered for her warmth, cute smile and sharp wit. She is survived by six children, Kenneth (Jeanne), Kim (Monica), Laurel, Lisa (Brad Lojovich), Lance (Donna), Kevin; 9 grandchildren, Jason (Amy), HollyAnne, Christopher, Jeffrey, Daniel, Theodore, Heather, Matthew & Aaron; 2 greats, Allison & Joshua; brother, E. Wesley Wille. The children would like to thank the caregivers and staff of Lyngblomsten Koller neighborhood as well as the Lyngblomsten apartments for the loving care they gave our mother. Funeral Service Friday, September 27th, at 3 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Lyngblomsten Chapel, 1415 Almond Ave., St. Paul, 55108. Lavoie, Jake
Passed away unexpectedly September 1, 2019.
Jake was a senior at the University of Minnesota – Duluth. He was on track to graduate in the Spring of 2020 with a degree specializing in Marketing Analytics. He loved family, the outdoors, sports, and his puppies Buddy and Ollie. Jake had an amazing charisma that easily drew others to him. With his unique wit, he put a smile on everyone’s face. Jake tried to make everyone feel good about themselves. He brought out the best in others and was a bright light in a sometimes challenging world. Preceded in death by grandparents, Richard Johnson and Lois Lavoie. Survived by loving parents, Craig and Jane; brother, Nate; sister, Kaila; grandparents, Don Lavoie and Twyla Johnson; aunts and uncles, Kevin (Peg) Lavoie, Karla (Richard) Meikle, David (Terrie) Johnson, Paul Johnson (Kim Nordaune); cousins, Bob (Diane) Lavoie, Melissa Lavoie (Chad Grant), Korbin Lavoie , James Powell, Sydney Powell, Justin Meikle, Erin Meikle; also many friends. Alitz, Reuben
Age 89 of Inver Grove Heights, MN
Died peacefully on August 21, 2019. He was born October 13, 1929 to Alvin and Selma Alitz and grew up on their farm in Altura, MN. He was a 1947 graduate of Lewiston-Altura High School. Reuben served in the United States Army after WWII and before the Korean War. Reuben married Vernice Ellinghuysen on April 28, 1951. They lived in Inver Grove Heights, MN and raised 3 sons. He worked as a high school math teacher for at Park High School in Cottage Grove and also coached football, basketball and track. He was a faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Reuben was avid bowler and bowled in several leagues over 30 years. He loved spending time at the family farm. Reuben is survived by three sons, Robert (Diane) Alitz of Maplewood, MN, Paul (Nancy) Alitz of Hastings, MN, and Richard (Liz) Alitz of Lake City, MN; six grandchildren, Ashley Alitz, Lauren (Nate) Meyer, Lisa (Jordan) Krause, Emily (Brendon) Smith, Matthew Alitz, and Hannah Alitz; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Meyer & Conrad Meyer; sister-in-law, Irene Nerison of Maple Grove as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service 4:00 pm Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 2075 70th St. E., Inver Grove Heights, MN. Visitation 2-4 pm prior to the service. Loved taking care of his boy hood farm he kept that place “neat as a pin” and loved it when friends and family would stop by.
Liked to monitor the stock market. He would track number of shares and prices and write them down on slips of paper. He had thousands of slips of paper with micro number on both sides … I’m sure this kept his mid sharp. He did crossword puzzles for years also. And liked to read.
In the 60’s and 70’s did boating on the St Croix with his family and friends

Very generous man. He loved to share his knowledge of investments and money with his family and friends
Used to have lots of bridge parties played bridge with his wife and friends
Liked his pick-up trucks, had several over the years, He was a Ford guy.

Klotz, Benno R. “Ben” or “Bud”
Age 72 of Inver Grove Heights
On August 27, 2019, after a year-and-a-half battle with lung cancer. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Patricia; sister, Kathy. Survived by his five children, Christine Benson, Jennifer (Aaron) Gilbertson, Elizabeth (Robert) Azzarello, Katherine (Trevor) Dieckmann, Benno (Becca) Klotz; plus 6 siblings; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Benno was raised in Lakeville, MN, served for the Army during the Vietnam War and settled with his then young family in Inver Grove Heights in 1977. His kindness and quiet strength will be greatly missed. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights. Was born on May 22, 1928 in Waite Park, MN to William F. and Carolena Bidinger. Passed away peacefully August 15, 2019. Visitation will be at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Avenue, Inver Grove Heights, MN on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and again at 10:00 am preceding the service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 also at Roberts Funeral Home.
Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Willis Kenneth Menz; granddaughter, Elizabeth Susan Ostrowski; son-in-law, Bernard Ray Bidinger. She is survived by her 8 children, Sue (Rich) Patterson, Barb Menz, Judy Bidinger, Bill (Kay) Menz, Ken (Cindy) Menz, JoAnn Brown, Jim Menz, and Patty (Greg) Feiock); 22 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Age 80 of South St. Paul
Passed away peacefully on August 14th, 2019, his twin sister by his side. Preceded in death by his much loved wife of nearly 48 years, Mary Jane (Schaefer); 8 siblings, Ann Mars, Ruthie Gallagher, Donna Gallagher, Vern, Bill, Pat, Tom and Carolyn Marx. He is survived by daughters, Sandy, Tracy (Chris) Spies and Joleen (Tom) Witham; grandchildren, Cole, Mason, Lydia, Alexis and Tucker; twin sister, Ginny (Rollie) Weber and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends. Butchie was the youngest of 10 and loved a good time. He was a long time employee of Drake Marble Co. and Twin City Tile and Marble Co. Fishing for bass at Ham Lake was a favorite pastime as well as puttering in the garage making canes out of willow tree branches and cutting boards out of Corian. He will be missed. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights, with visitation one-hour prior.
