Preceded in death by parents, Frank & Dorothy Bauch; Robert & Alma Umbriet. Beloved parents to Kimberley (Kim) Gifford, Michael (Beth) & Curtis; grandchildren, Todd, Rick. Jason, Marisha & Stephan; great-grandchildren, Kalena, Brianna, Jacob, Kalissa & Bennett; sister, Nancy (Richard) Ades; brother, Roger (Sue) Umbriet. Michael & Shirley were formerly from the South St. Paul area and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1990. After the passing of Michael, Shirley returned to reside in West St. Paul. Memorial Service 12 Noon Saturday, September 15^th, at Roberts Funeral Home, 8108 Barbara Ave., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 10am- 12 Noon prior to the service. Private Interment St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery.

Age 94 of Rosemount

Passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on September 3, 2018. Preceded in death by husband, Melvin; daughter Sharon Robinson; sister, Ethel Hearn. Survived by daughter, Judy (Howard) Howell; granddaughters, Sheila (Steve) Mays, Tiffany (Luis) Perez & Sharon Lynn Tyler; grandson, John (Lori) Robinson Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Eloise enjoyed sewing and doing various crafts. She loved her Lord and Family and will be dearly missed. Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, September 8^th, at Southside Baptist Church, 5613 So. Robert Trail, Sunfish Lake. Visitation 10-11 AM prior to the service at church. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorial preferred to Southside Baptist Church.

Age 68 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away on September 1st. After a brief fight with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Pauline Hemmer; in-laws, Fred and Philomena Sweet; daughter-in-law, Tiami. Survived by wife, Dorothy; daughter, Jean (Robert) Roth; sons, Michael (Marcella) & Scott (fiancé Jackie Simola); grandchildren, Nicole (Todd) Huber, Alex, Stephen, Zack Roth, Treasure, David, Liam, Brittany, Angel, Sara, Sammy Hemmer, Jenn, Matt (Destani) Corinna Hemmer, Jasmine, Cassandra, Kaitlyn, William Simola; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ivan, and baby boy Huber on the way; brother, John; sisters, Mary (Duan) Dixon, Jane (Chris) Hall. Fred retried from Toro Company. In his retirement Fred enjoyed vacationing with his wife, going out to dinner with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and ice fishing. Age 70 of Inver Grove Heights

Passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Frank & Ruth; brother Jerry “Gaddis”. Survived by loving wife of 47 years, Jane; son, Dan (Mary); daughter, Shelly (Craig) Lange; grandsons, Luke, Cal, Sam & Charlie; brother, Greg (Barbara); sisters, Judy (Bruce) Eilts & Kathy (Greg) Holliday; also other family and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday, September 1^st, at the Church of St. Patrick, 3535 72^nd St., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 9-10 am prior to Mass. Private interment Ft. Charlie was born to Charles and Elizabeth Nelson on October 4, 1922, in South Bend, MN.  He graduated from Mankato High School in 1942 and became a Naval aviator in the Marine Corp in 1943.  He married Shirley Ann Swensen in 1948, and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1950.  Charlie was employed by Thompson Lands and Federal Land Bank in Windom, and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service at the USDA in St. Paul. Charlie served as a Boy Scout Master, a Sunday School teacher at the Methodist Church and on the hospital board in Windom.  He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, sailing and sports.  He enjoyed establishing a conservation acreage area on his farm near Garden City after retiring. He is survived by children, Ann and Bill, his sister, Susan Nelson Pollack and husband, and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Red Cross. Private Family Services were held.

Our beloved mother, Hazel Manley passed away peacefully August 25, 2018. She was 96 years young. She was born in Sauk Rapids and lived in So. St. Paul, West St. Paul & Inver Grove Heights. Preceded in death by husband of 63 years, Thomas Manley; sister, LaVern McGinn; brothers, James & Lloyd Lezer; great-grandchildren, Katie , Natalie, Matthew and Jacob Larson. Survived by daughters, Maryln (William) Harrison and Kathy (Kenneth) Simpson; grandchildren, Christina (Matthew) Kaufman, Julia (John) Larson, Jeffrey Brown and Steven (Rebecca) Brown along with 11 great-grandchildren. Mother will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten! Visitation Friday, August 31 from 10 AM to 11 AM. Service from 11AM to 12 PM with reception to follow at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 1575 Charlton St., West St. Paul, MN 55118. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleums, 2101 Lexington Ave. So., Mendota Hts., MN following the reception. Owner of Gerten’s Farm Market

Passed suddenly in his sleep on Saturday August 18^th, 2018, at age 69. Born January 18^th, 1949 to the late Leonard and Margaret Gerten. Terry was a proud lifelong resident of Inver Grove Heights. He enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers, golfing, puzzles, and gambling. Terry was loved by many for his kind smile and generous spirit. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sound advice, and one-liners. Terry’s legacy lives on through his children, whom he was so proud of; by his family; and in his local business. Survived by children Katie, Melissa (Brian) Goski, Tony, Krista Tessier (Justin), and Sarah Tessier (Marcus); Grandchildren Leo, Lucy, Abiel, Lindsey, Nick, Ashlyn, and Oscar; Siblings Kathy Tlougan, Mike (Terry), Jean (Mike) Rolow, Peg (Steve) Hill, Phil (JoAnne), Mark (Saony), Rose DeGuilo (Mark), Joe (Lisa), and Lori (Ed) DeLong; Mother of his children Paulette Gerten. Passed away surrounded by family on August 10, 2018 at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. She is survived by loving parents, Matthew and Jessica; grandparents, Doug & Gina Danner, Paul & Penny O’Connell; uncles & aunt, Jeremy Danner (Emily Morisset) & Eric O’Connell; 4 great-grandparents, many extended family & friends. Emma graced our lives with so much love and joy. Visitation 5-8 PM Thursday, August 16^th, at Roberts Funeral Home, Inver Grove Heights. Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Lois; son, David (Michelle), Margaret, Karen (Mike) Stanek & Nancy (Don); 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 1 sister. Sylvester worked at the Schmidt Brewery for over 40 years. He was a very loving husband, father & grandpa and will be deeply missed.
